See I think of plays like this as fun plays. He's dodging his own people and the other team, while his team is trying to block and the other team is trying to tackle. It's not in the same class as guys who break six or seven tackles on their own, which I've seen, but its still a great play. I've watched it several times to see the flat out effort of all the guys on both sides trying to figure out a way to help or make the play. The fact that it happened last week, and is on the internet makes it great for those of us who weren't there, but it doesn't make it the greatest. Not every good moment is or has been captured on film. I've seen guys out move and out run 11 guys on a defense before and I'll see it again, and I probably wont have anything but my memory to share it with. lol But I will revel in seeing whats posted with all the bird fans. Its fun to discuss on a Friday before the game if nothing else.

I've seen a lot of great plays. I would count this as one. It's not the greatest though. The greatest plays are one on one, where the back does all the work. He had a lot of help. There were a ton of birds running interference. Still. All in all a great run.

I also think if you go back farther that you'll find they had some pretty successful teams. I do think that a semi appearance is the best we've done under The current state championship format.

I don't care if it's 3 or 30. Just as long as we win and advance.

Maybe because they tore it down.

I agree. Great list. The names are all correct, others can debate the order they come in, and no I do not agree with some of the positions or placement. However, Just being voted to the list means a lot.

Yep, we sure did... haters gonna hate... its all they know how to do. By the way... look at our schedules again. Sk won first and second round vs other region opponents. Ryle won first round vs other region Dixie won first round vs other region.

Highlands is a perfect point. Yes they have a few good athletes, but their success is because of the importance people in Ft. Thomas place on football. Its because the average kid is developed to their full potential that Highlands is successful, year in and year out, not their stars. Though I might add that their stars are brightened by the level of coaching they receive as well.

As far as CPS schools themselves, I am not saying that they don't have a focus on academics either. I'm saying that people who live in Southern Ohio/Cincinnati in general place more prominence on sports than we in NKY across the board. That doesn't mean we don't have good athletes, good programs, or good coaches. And it certainly doesn't mean our better teams can't compete with most. It does mean our average teams will get the snot beat out of them on a regular basis though.

Obviously you don't read sarcarsm where well do you? and obviously you don't have a clue what I'm talking about because you keep wanting to compare an organization set up to feed a private school which competes against feeder systems for other private schools and claim that all is the same across the board between NKY and OH sports other than numbers. Newsflash, not all kids at cov cath went to a private school prior to enrollment.

Don't take my statement the wrong way. I am happy with the academics in NKY public schools. I'm just trying to point out that overall sports is not a priority in NKY elementary/middle schools. I'm not just talking about football either.

I don't know how bringing up private school programs proves or disproves anything about the way NKY and OH treat sports at the Elementary/Middle school in the public school system.

My point about academics and northern ky public elementary and middle schools is that they do not focus on athletics until HS. A few football programs try too, but overall, all sports included. NKY does not have the same focus CPS do.

It has to be. Numbers are interesting. You can use them to bolster or dismiss arguments. Sometimes both at the same time. lol

Dixie and Ballard are no strangers. We've faced each other before and it's always been a great football game. I expect nothing less this friday night.
