Chris Lewis Mercer is a true player and leader for the Titans. Was a stand out before the merger and continuees to stand out defensively. Of course we know defense ofetn gets looked over for the glory

New season , new school last year like in every other sport is long forgotten. Last year's team was great. That Senior group could have used one more year with Jaggers and 3 less ACL injuries. But that's the breaks.

I could not agree more Nathan made it possible for these 2 gret backs to do what they did. Often we forget those that make the blocks. Also agree that Lewis is great and seems to do a great job at keeping this team pumped up. He's the real deal. With size and talent no telling where he'll end up playing at the next level.

From Mercer County for the past 4 years that's all we know

I could not agree more. Maybe not the worse filed but pretty bad. They hopefully will get a new field one day. Baseball not at top of list as football is right now

I don't know what team you were watching last year but their backs had a great deal of speed. with 2 2 of them at the 4.4 40 as measured at the Centre combine. Their backs had the same speed as Harrodsburg. Point meant is that they should be even better because they still have 2 of their 3 backs that started as well as 2 new ones with great speed.

I thought scrimage was at Mercer

Andy whitehead played 2 years ago and had majot health issues that caused him to quit. So hopefully will do well this year. Size is a good thing but talent needs to accompany that size. If anyone can pull them through it will be that coaching staff. Jaggers is great as well as most of the assistant that were at Mercer last year. Don't know about H-Burg's staff.

Mercer wasn't that far off from Russell last year. 3 statrters out with ACL injuries contriubuted to that loss some I would say. So I think they will be a force to see this year

Oh I see what you mean with the combination of the 2 schools. That will make for an outstanding running game.

Who are the 4 running backs that are at Mercer besides Griffin and Walker that had 1200 yards? Both of these guys are outstanding and will do a great job. Of course there is only so many carries.

There will be letter sent to all students so they can vote on the 2 names chossen. The board then must approve which one is picked. Hopefully they won't choose Trailblazers.

Marty will do what it takes to take this team as far as they can go. Last year he was faced with 3 starters having ACL injuries that took a toll on the play offs. There is not many teams who can do without 3 starters after 6 games and do as well as they did. Remember Russell did not kill them.

If any coach can do it it will be Jaggers. Although as a senior parent this year I'm just glad my son won't have to play through it state champion or not.

I heard that as long as they were one school and one school code that regardless of where the classes were held they could play together as one team.

Don't think AD has been decided although from what I know of Yeast he would be great.

The Mercer Board has not yet voted for the merger although I am sure it will pass. As for Mercer's Big O line keep in mind that senior class last year was most of the o'line and as for Hburg's speedy back field don't count the Mercer back field that beat Hburg last year with all coming back except for Senior Scheller. The team will have alot of back field experience. They'll do well.
