After working the 9th Region tournament and having seen Knott County Central play on WYMT at least 4-5 times this year, this is how I thought the game would have ended. A certain someone, after the 9th Region tournament, told me they thought Boone County would handle whoever won the 14th Region. I will say that having lived in NKY for a few years had me torn with who I wanted to win the game, I'm glad that a mountain team was able to advance to Friday action...well there are two this year. As stated earlier, KCC should be set for a few return trips with all the young talent the Patriots have.

From working the 9th Region tournament the last four years, I just don't see Crittendon as being THAT great. Don't get me wrong...I do believe she is a good player, but when it comes time for the big games, she was virtually non-existent. My vote would go to Sydney Moss because she would always come up big in crucial situations like the best player in the state should. I would say Wilson and Noble would be a close vote for second and third.

Final in overtime from The Bank of kentucky Center. That is one of the CRAZIEST endings to a game I have seen in a LONG time. Congrats to Boone County on taking the title and best of luck at Diddle Arena against the 11th Region winner. Also congrats to the Pandas on an outstanding season...you played your hearts out so you have nothing to hang your head about.

To me, it looked like the bigs for NewCath kept Maniacci in check and the rest of the jaguars never really stepped up to pick up the slack. If there are any BGP'ers here at The Bank of Kentucky Center, please feel free to stop by there scorer's table and introduce yourself. I always love putting faces to names.

It was already scheduled to be two different sessions so I see no harm in continuing to have two separate sessions.

No problem. I figured I would ask my contact in the arena since I had to check in with her about the schedule for those who are working the scorer's table.

Just got it confirmed that the arena WILL be clear on Saturday. The boys semifinals will be one session while the girls semifinals will be another. As for Sunday, both the championship games will be one session total so one ticket will get you into both title games.

Congrats to Boone County's Zane McQueary for entering the 1,000-point club. Also worth mentioning is Boone County's free throw shooting in the fourth quarter as the Rebels were a perfect 14-for-14 in the quarter. It is definitely hard to come back on a team when they shoot that well from the charity stripe in the fourth quarter.
