Collins played Scott Co. at the Franklin Co. tournament. The umpire behind the plate coached over half the girls from 10u to 14u slammers from Georgetown. His daughter plays 1st base for Scott Co. He told a Collins fan he would throw him out of the park if he said anything else about it. The fan told the Collins pitcher she wouldn't get the outside pitch because she didn't play for the slammers. The fan asked the head of umpires for the 11th region at the tournament if he knew the situation, and he put him on the game anyway. There were 3 other games going on he could have worked. Should this be brought the attention of KHSAA?

Scott Co. the outcome probably would not have changed, but that is just not very professional.

Barring extenuating circumstances I cannot see how this was allowed.

IMO, he should have scratched himself from that game.

For football, basketball, and wrestling, you have to send the complaint to the assigning secretary. Not sure about baseball/softball. Does Baseball/softball use assigners or do teams get their own?

That's were I would start then. They also could contact the KHSAA Board Rep that overseas Softball, not sure who that is off the top of my head.

I would love to ump my daughter's game. First time she even gave me a look I would toss her!! All kidding aside this just can't happen.

Even if he had the best of intentions and a heart of gold, I can't imagine him thinking this was a good idea. He had to know that if any little thing went wrong, he would be criticized.

There is a rule prohibiting it. So just contact the KHSAA. There was an official for a few years who worked only one schools games, his daughter played and he even donated part or all of the money back to tyhe school. It was reported and he now just drives their bus. hehe
