I played in this back when I was in high school. It was well worth it. Very good competition. There is US Junior National Team that is selected eventually but I never met anyone that actually played on the team. The camp was 1 day and it was held at UofL and we just played games and had some drills if I remember correctly. I think a few scouts are in attendence. No big names. They called it a try out but the expenses to travel and actually play on the Junior National team were so high I don't know that anyone I talked to ever traveled with the team.

I would love to see this kid come play for Brian Lane. He would fit there system perfectly. With a guy like Verax graduating I would think Crawford would get a lot of playing time next year at Transy.

I read last week that Jenkins was keeping Bellermine as an option.

Center of course? I kidding. He would have to play the point eventually I would think. I just thought I heard they were showing interest.

Since the Sweet 16 is over I thought this would be a good place to discuss what players are going to be playing college ball and where they are being recruited. Even if we mention some of the underclassmen that would be fine. Put an astric* so we know were talking about an underclassmen. I sat near a Butler coach during the LexCath Holmes game. I would think they are looking at Sanford, but found out that Ricardo and Jeremiah might be options also.

It was a very very close call. I haven't seen the video that was posted earlier but I saw on a newscast from the night before and put it in slow motion. When framed it by 10ths of a second I could see the ball was still in his hand a 0.1, but then when you got to 0.0 it looked to be out of his hand. It was so close I don't know if even a ref would have overturned if replay was an option.

The thing on Pittman is going to be his grades and how much he works on his post game. Like Henley said in the Enquirer, if he does work on some moves with his back to the basket and gets his classroom work going he is going to be a high D-1 player.

What happend to UC? I hear they aren't recruiting him much anymore. If this is true they are crazy. That team needs a guy like Ricardo who can play defense, shoot, rebound, and is smart player.

Congratulations to the Holmes Bulldogs!!!!! I was at all the first 3 games this week. Then I came home Saturday afternoon. I went to a local establishment in Latonia where I was told they would show the game. The bar was packed and as the game got into the 4th quarter people stopped watching the NCAA games and started going crazy for the Bulldogs. When Riley hit the 3 in the corner the place went nuts. The air was then let out after the shot that sent the game to double OT. But once the Dogs pulled away the celebration began. One man even got on the DJ's Mike and started chanting "WHO LET THE DOGS OUT". It was a great atmosphere. I saw people from CovCath, St. Henry, Holy Cross, Ryle, Lloyd high fiving. Everyone was so proud to be watching a team from the 9th bring that trophy back to NKY. Congrats to all boys, Coaches, past players and fans. I also felt that Arrez Henderson and Timmy Sullivan were a big part of this. They set a standard on how defense had to played and how this team had to up there game. And they stepped up to the challenge. Congrats again to the Dawgs!!!!

Is there talk that this may be happening soon or a reason why we should discuss this? If not I see no reason to talk about this.

I heard that Florida has also contacted him and that UK is interested also.

Good luck to all 3 of these guys. I hope we can see them on TV soon. I heard a rumor the other day that Arrez might end back up at NKU. That would be cool to watch him there, but I think he's good enough to play at a good mid major.

This looks really good to me. I've seen this team a lot this season. And I really hope they win a championship and bring it finally back to the 9th Region. But my one question for Holmes fans is this. Whats wrong with this team? There is no doubt the player that is going to bring this team to the top is Ricardo Johnson. He is a awesome team player. But he has been the only consistant player. I keep hearing Holmes fans talk about Pittman and his great performance at Rupp last year. But a reason why that was so special was because he shot the ball so well during that tournament. Lately it seems his shooting is in a slump. So is Riley, I haven't seen the consitancy I saw from him at the begining of the year. I haven't seen the great play of Jeramiah Johnson as of late. I thought he was really getting better until I saw him in the regionals. Kevon Arnold / Rice has been good at times but other times he's looked like the sophmore he is. He takes dumb shots, forces things, lacks a strong defensive game. Then you have Coach Henley. I respect the heck out of this guy and think he's a great coach. But why didn't he take advantage of the mismatches in the post that Pittman had during the enitre regional. Why don't they run more? Why aren't they pressing? I love watching the athletes on this team. And I will be rooting for them down in Lexington next week, but I guess my point is.....this team has a lot of question marks???????????????

Not sure of his name but a player I saw in the 10th Region final was #23 for Mason Co. He is a sophmore I believe and did everything. He looks like a solid young man....a football players body. He is strong on the boards and the inside post, he also shot the 3ball well on Tuesday. Mason fans, who is this young man?

I heard that before the season was over Popp had already been looking into transferring next season. I think this was just a case of him getting beat out for the job. He's a very nice player and there are a number of schools he'd fit in well with. I think I heard one of his parents work in the Boone Co school system and he is looking to stay in a Boone Co school (Conner, Ryle, Cooper intertested?)

Im not sure anyone on this whole entire site has a clue what your talking about. I never saw any coach dancing? What does that even mean? When was he dancing? Are you talking about Brannen? His assitants? I asked about the lack of fan support at the ALL A and at the Regionals but I wasn't told it was because of the COACH. PLEASE EXPLAIN YOUR COMMENTS!!!!!

I found it odd that there still was a difference in how these two tourny's are run even though they are under the same roof. Tonight at the semifinal game for the 10th there were bigger student sections, better atmostphere, split the pot, and even programs I was told. All of this was missing for the 9th Region games.

I thought O'Conner was a Junior.

1st time i've seen either teams..... O'Conner got hurt at the end of the half and had to get stitches. He didn't return until late in the 3rd quarter. That didn't help but it wasn't the reason Scott lost. Scott just had too many turnovers and missed shots in the crucial part of the game.
