I think someone already mentioned it in the Holmes/Central thread but thought it may need a thread for itself.

Ricardo was named tournament MVP and picked up his first Division I scholarship offer - from Bradley - during the post-game celebration.

I think this will be just one of many to come over the next year.

That is real big... That young man deserves all the accolades that come his way. He is talented, humble, smart and an all and all great kid... Congrats Rico!

Amen, I think other offers are soon to come. As someone said in another thread, Johnson has the ability to be a great big time D1 player and should absloutely explode next season.

Billy Clyde, offer this kid.

Hasn't Bradley made Vee Sanford an offer, too?

I think this is 1 of many scholarship offers for Ricardo Johnson IMO.

IMO Bradley is a perfect level for Rico.

I hope some how that he and Jermeiah can play together. It is really neat to watch those two, they are very very close.

I heard that USC has started mailing him.

There are many d1 schools recruiting him, he will have many offers to choose from by his senior year! Congrats Ricardo Johnson!

IMO He was the best all-around player in the tournament both ends of the floor. He really put the clamps on Sanford in Friday's game. He gets a little more consistent with his outside shot he will get offers from a lot bigger D1 schools than Bradley.

I think it will be interesting to see what other offers he garners.

Congrats Ricardo! Keep working and Im sure there will be many more to come.

Being recruited and on a mailing list is completely different than being offered. Teams mail things in bulk to hundreds of prospects. Obviously you have to be on there radar in some capacity to get that attention in the first place, but at the end of the day only 12 players suit up. So if that letter goes out to just 100 student athletes from any certain program, still only 12 are gonna get that offer extended. So recieving mail doesn't carry much weight for me, but an actual offer is huge.

Dom Johnson put the clamps on Sanford.

That would be awesome... If JJ continues to develope then Bradley could be that place. I see JJ playing mid major ball somewhere if he continues to get better at the pace he is now, but Rico may be in line for some big time offers here soon.
