I sat near a Butler coach during the LexCath Holmes game. I would think they are looking at Sanford, but found out that Ricardo and Jeremiah might be options also.

Congrats to Ricardo, he is a very solid player and IMO the best player on Holmes.

He is best player in the state.And will be next year also.imo

Ricardo is a clutch player. When the game is on the line he grabs the rebound, makes the stop or drains the J. A very humble, good guy. I would love to see him stay close to home (Xavier, Dayton, U of L, KY, Cincy). The Bradley offer is one of many to come.

Dom did a decent job on Sanford when he was in, but Rico was in his grill most of the game. Dom only played 13 minutes.

Every year it seems we debate what offers the top Holmes players will be getting. If none of these players are making the grade and getting valid test scores what does it matter? They will all have to go the JUCO route.

 

I don't think anyone can debate the job Dave Henley and his staff have done on the basketball court. But why are none of these players in a position to attend a 4 year school?

 

What needs to be done to get these kids on the correct path in the classroom?

 

Greg Rice, Austin Hill and Arrez Henderson could have all played D1 ball but could not meet the needed GPA and ACT scores. It looks like Elijiah Pittman and Ricardo Johnson are on the same path according to other posts.

Have your facts before you start criticizing every Holmes player!!

I think there may be some mid major program that will offer both Jeremiah and Ricardo hoping to get them both together. Though Rico may have the talent to be a high DI player I think that a situation where he could play with his brother for four more years could sway his thinking.

I've thought the same thing as well. I believe someone mentioned Butler was looking at both of them.

I hope no coaches/schools anywhere in KY allow players to play if they are academically ineligible according to KHSAA bylaws. That wouldn't be fair to all of the the players who also work hard it in the classroom.

No bitterness here. I'm pretty sure a student must keep a 1.5 GPA to participate.
