Since The Ohio State University added field turf this year and with Crew Stadium I look for Columbus to make a bid to host the games again. They could use Crew Stadium for D-IV, V, VI games and D-I, II, III at the Shoe.

I think they need to hire one before Christmas. One reason is that you what to have kids in the weight room and having a coach to motivate them to get them into the weight room is needed. This is where it starts plus this gives him the chance to go to basketball games and talk to the fans and establish a working relationship with them and especially the youth program coaches. They need to be on the same page with him on what to offense and defense to run.

Anderson for several years now has been good but playing in the GCL South was not kind. And then finally they drop to D-II and win the state title. And the score was closer than it really was. Louisville (pronounced lewisville) scored late to make it 31-25.

I will say this. I am only writing what I hear when I visit Louisa and not just one person but several people. And none of them are my family members. I am stating my OPINION of what I think. Sometimes someone who is not around the problem sees more of what is going on. Also I never said he didn't do a good job I don't know because I haven't been around the LC program day in and day out since I moved. I am only saying what at least 4 different people I spoke with during Thanksgiving. And those people are upset and they want change in the whole program. I didn't even know he was the QB Club president until these people told me. I want to see LC to get back to where they was in the 90's and I honestly hope everyone gets together down there and do what is best for the program and the kids most importantly. :rolleyes:Whatever:rolleyes: If the fans get a new person in charge of the QB Club, Chuke could very well be back. The current person in charge of the QB Club brought Luke in and he wants him to be Head Coach. But alot of people are really upset with the way he has ran the QB Club and wants him out. Dixon will not leave LC. Like I said before because of the connections he married into. If Chuke does not get the job, then they need to look elsewhere outside of who is already there.

I don't think dawgtradition79 was talking about Chuke in his post. The person he is referring too has been mentioned in this post because of their loyalty to the program for the past 10 years or so and because of the family he is married in too.

Looks like they got all but the Johnson Central, Prestonburg and Male games right. They almost got the Highlands/Letcher Central score on the nose. They predicted 49-10 and the final was 52 -12.

I only see two names on here that probably will get the job. ( Chuke and Luke ) Chuke Williams DOES want to coach and isn't he at the Carl Perkins facility? Luke Sammons is a guy only a few at LC know really well. Eddie Dixon IMHO is a good coach but not a Head Coach. And he will never leave LC guarnteed. Joey Cecil, I heard doesn't want to coach anymore. Chad Tackett's name only came up on here and nowhere in LC is he being mentioned. I know Chuke upset alot of people when he left LC but one thing for sure he WON games. One thing for sure fans need to make sure they stay on top of this and voice their opinions on whoever applies for the job.

I agree 100% with you about Alan. My only concern would be that alot of fans would expect him to start winning like he did as a player and right now that isn't going to happen at least for a couple of years. Yes LC can go 6-4, 7-3 but the undefeated and 1 loss regular seasons that LC fans grew accustomed too in the 90's will take some time until some stability comes to the program. Here is a list of things I believe that needs to happen. 1) Find a new Head Coach 2) Determine the offense that is going to be ran 3) Get your feeder programs to run the same offense 4) Get the adminstration to support the program 5) Get the fans to support the coach and be patient 6) Support the players, if they see fans and parents supporting and not arguing then they will bring back pride.

I will be in Kentucky for Thanksgiving, wanted to see Belfry play but I am not driving to Somerset. So I will probably will be in Russell to watch this game. I have several friends from Russell so I will be cheering for them. Russell 21 BC 17

The only thing the paper says that MAYBE he grabbed a player then the flag was thrown. Also Coach Evans stated that he saw less than second when the Greenup QB spiked the ball to set up the winning TD.

I watched this game and St. X is solid everywhere. They have no weakness' anywhere.

Phillip is at Marshall coaching the Tight Ends. He left Spring Valley several years ago for a coaching job at James Madison University the year they won the 1-AA Championship under former Herd Defensive Coach Micky Matthews. Phil Ratliff There is no way Gary would leave Russell. If he ever did I would be totally shocked. He is a great coach in both Football and Baseball.

I know that losing at LC was NOT the reason Luke and the other two kids mentioned in this thread about transferring. I will not get into to details cause all were personal and should never be discussed openly.

OK, I have been off of BGP for 2 days and look what I miss. :eek: First off, If Coach Goldsmith does leave I wish him and Boone the best wherever they land. I have known Billy since he arrived in Louisa with his rap music and Florida State pajama pants. We hit it off right away cause we both liked the Seminoles. I know he was excited about being back at LC, but like Fan has said politics was too much involved in the football program. I don't see Chuke going back there and I have said this before, " Chuke come to London, Ohio and coach" I like Chuke as a coach and motivator, I know some kids and parents didn't like his style but you know what he provided results. Now, who would be Goldsmith's replacement? I like some of the names that have came out in this post. I think Tackett would be a good fit. I am not sure but did he play for Fairview also? And if he did, did he play with Eddie Dixon? As for some other names, Morgan is a great guy but I am not sure he would have the time needed to be a Full time Head Coach. Alan Short is a possibility. Not sure if he wanted to come back because of the pressure of him being a former player and the fans wanting that old magic back instantly. Blake Preece is another possibility. I know he reads on here maybe he can personally give us his feelings on the position. I know 2 former LC grads whose names will not come up: Jason Michael and Phillip Ratliff Jason is coaching in the NFL and IMO will be an NFL Head Coach one day. Phillip is back at his College Alma Mater 'Marshall'. Phillip could very well be a Head Coach in College or at least a Coorindator either offense or defense some day. I really think LC needs to look all over the state and even out of state in neighboring WV and OH. One thing for sure that whoever gets the job, be open with the fans about your plan for the program and they will give you time to get the job done. " Is 2 years long enough to get it done, :lol:"
