KYMSFA Regional Playoff Games
I see Ryle and Conner listed in the 6th grade. Does this mean these kids are roughly playing 20 games a season with participating in this and the NKYFL?

Playoff Withdrawals
Is the same hatred there for all the other sports that includes all teams into the postseason, or just football?

Collins 52 Dixie Heights 49
I don't know much about Collins, and their losses don't tell you a ton. Woodford threw all over them. Scott Co ran all over them. North Laurel had a balanced attack. I think Dixie is going to have to have a balanced attack to beat them with Fields running the ball more than during the regular season. He showed flashes at Ryle last week. There is no next week if you lose, so you have to remove the protective bubble around him and let him go. Collins appears to have a dual threat QB, so Dixie has to contain and tackle, something they've had a problem with against quality opponents. If they tackle like they did against Ryle, it's going to be a long night.

Highlands 2 Central Hardin 1 (4-2 PKs) (Semifinals State Tournament)
Congrats to Highlands! I wonder if parents are still calling the administration and complaining about the coach? LOL.....

2025 NKY Frosh Football Scores & Rankings
They've got to get through tonight first. I haven't seen either play, but looking at scores, it should be a good one. Dixie's defense has been lights out lately, and their offense has been putting up points with a backup qb in place.

They have to win out. They play CovCath next week which will decide who plays Highlands in the championship game.

Conner at Dixie Predictions/Updates 10/9
For those watching at home, was that a fumble or was he down?

Conner at Dixie Predictions/Updates 10/9
This should be a competitive game for the #2 seed in the district as the teams seem pretty similar. Long time Dixie head coach Tom Spritzky returns to Dixie for the first time on the opposite sideline as the offensive play caller for Conner. He brought the spread offense to Dixie back in the mid 90's, so I would expect this Conner team to have a similar look. I haven't seen them play, but their stats show they're not scared to sling it around. Granted, the game score may have dictated it a little more in games. Dixie's defense has shown some improvement, although last week's game score doesn't show it. Will they be able to contain Conner's offense or will they have to outscore them in a shootout? The offense can put up points quickly against lesser quality opponents, but they struggle to have sustained drives against quality opponents. This leaves the defense on the field way too much and in bad situations with shorter fields. The running game has struggled as there is no premier back. Golsby is more of a receiver than running back, but he has potential to break a long one with his speed. Gilliland is coming off injury and is more of a fullback (very strong runner but lacks the breakaway speed). The passing game seems like it is bubbles or deep balls. If they can get an intermediate passing game, especially over the middle, working, it will help them sustain drives and open up more opportunities. I think more QB runs with Fields will help, but I completely understand not running him as much as there's nothing really behind him if he were to get injured at this point of the season.

Highlands won big, if referring to the Highlands/Dixie JV game.

Dixie Heights at Scott Predictions/Updates
2 pick 6’s and big play after big play offensively. Scott scored on a blown coverage leaving a guy wide open for an easy score.

43-7 Dixie after 1

Dixie Heights at Scott Predictions/Updates
They don’t have a standout back this year, so it’s been running back by committee. They’ll rotate 3 guys back there that all offer something different. The one is coming off injury so his workload has increased week to week. They’ve got a young line that is coming together.

Dixie 46 Henry Clay 24
Dixie scored first to take an 8-0 lead. HC then cut the lead to 8-7 on what I believe was the next series. Dixie came right back to score 2 more touchdowns in the first quarter to take a 22-7 lead. In the 2nd quarter, HC got a FG and Dixie got 2 touchdowns including a 74 TD pass right before the half to go up 43-10. A FG in the 3rd put the running clock into play. HC scored 2 touchdowns late against Dixie’s JV team to make it 46-24. HC had 2 or 3 turnovers to Dixie’s 1. Missed tackles really hurt HC as Dixie had multiple big plays because of it. JV game for tomorrow has been cancelled.

From my understanding, it was included in the construction budget.

Highlands looking for JV game 9/6
And that’s usually due to the JV playing the 2nd half of those games. No need to bring those kids back out 12 hours later to do it again. I wonder what Campbell’s reason is for this cancellation.

Badin (OH) 66 Dixie 21
I was very impressed with Badin tonight. Their starting running back (#1) is a bowling ball that can move. Their passing game is good enough to prevent teams from stacking the box. Defensively, their front 7 is solid. They’re not very big, but they gave Dixie’s line fits most of the night. They’re quick off the ball and the linebackers fill the holes quickly.

8-6 Scott per the froshmore thread.

Simon Kenton at Western Brown (OH) Predictions/Updates
Mo didn't like to run between the tackles in middle school, and it still looks like he doesn't like to run between the tackles in high school. SK needs to find ways to get him the ball on the edge and in space. His hands used to be an issue, but I've heard they've gotten better the past couple years, so putting him at receiver may be a better option to get him more involved in the offense.

LSC Stadium to host KHSAA Soccer State Finals - 8/27/25
Lol. One of the upper fields had one occur right on the sideline this summer. Not nearly as bad as the museum. It dropped about a foot.

His initial 6th grade year was at TF. He then reclassified and transferred to Holmes then Holy Cross for his 2nd year of 6th grade (may have been HC then Holmes). He came back to TF for 7th and 8th grade.

Highlands 34 Covington Catholic 14 (Frosh)
I believe the KHSAA extended the team box to the 10 yard line a few years ago around covid. I watched Armstrong at Campbell County in middle school. The kid is a stud and looked like man-child in middle school.
