Class act by Coach Carr, I made a point to let him know after the game that he runs a class program.

The Lady Cardinals are on a roll and the team seems to be coming together and playing solid ball at the right time of the year. It wouldn't surprise me to see the Lady Cardinals going to Bowling Green. Tall order in front of them as there is no replacing 4 titles in a row and the experience that travels with it, but at some point that streak has to come to a halt.

I agree with you on having all first round games on the same day. Wait a minute, did we agree on something? Enjoy the games!

I think you can talk to several across the region and it would be the same concern about the cost to an average family. Again I am just speaking for those that have the concerns and voicing an opinion. Whatever those want to label it fine, they are entitled to their opinion. I think if its any indication of some of the pictures I have seen from the tournament being held there this week of the attendance and lack thereof, then my thoughts are very well supported that cost will be a factor to the average fan wanting to attend.

How we forget so soon, but we traveled last year:sssh: and last year was cheaper than any of us will experience this year. The fact remains that this year will be costly as compared to years past at a high school venue. As far as welcome to your world, the only thing I can say is build bigger.

Lake Kelly was a talented coach, respected by many across the state of Kentucky and around the country. Prayers go out from Mason County to his family.

Guarantee you will spend more money this weekend Mrs. Sunrise, you can state all you want. Gas, meals, concessions will total more than your trips to the fieldhouse. To some this expense probably isn't a big concern, to others(majority) I would say it really would hurt a family.

Mrs. Sunrise, you will make up more than the difference in cost through the concession stands, gas money, and whatever way you decide to spend money for your trips. The $5.00 you state above you spent per game at the fieldhouse will be nickle and dimes compared to what your about to embark on. No way the :popcorn: is any better or cheaper, thank ya:sssh:

I can remember quite a few Mason County fans and supporters being at McBrayer Arena during St. Patricks run at the All A during their State Tournament appearances in the All A. I think the relationship as far as support goes in your statement above is not neccessarily true and if you look over the years in the tournaments and especially when Lex had his great runs coaching, there was a county wide following for the Saints teams. I remember this just like it was yesterday.

64 I believe is the number, but look for this crazy rule to be lifted. I believe it has already been voted on and the 64 credit hour number is no longer a must. I am sure we will be hearing more on the specifics later on down the road.

Games of this nature are won and loss at the free throw line. Ultimately this one is pinned on the misses from the line. I didn't agree with the timeout with 1.7 either, but that didn't lose the game. Great game by both teams, awesome atmosphere, best of luck to both teams in region play.

I would say that some teams from the 10th and 8th regions might play a factor into that2nd round matchup.

No one should have a problem with this as all this does is give some kids who might be asked to step into a role next week in the regional tournament some reps and work on what might be asked of them from the coaching staff next week. The kids that might not get the minutes in other situations or games need to know how to rotate out of different defensive schemes and this was an excellent time to do this. Coach Hinson understands, he has used some kids in games in the regular season that normally don't get the minutes to prepare for the post season and it worked. For example Chadwick Thomas, Daniel Yeary, Ryan Gallenstein, kids like this in the 1-2-2 3/4 length trap that really affected Bracken County the other night when he was forced to go to those kids at the bench. Great job from both schools, St. Patrick congratulations on going to the regional tournament. Royals looked strong in this one and its encouraging to get the bench points and minutes that they received in this game. Best of luck to both teams next week.

Prep work would be my guess.
