  1. So how do we know that the majority of these people going to vote for one particular party?

  3. Smith, as a true freshman, was better than Newton before Newton was hurt. So, unless Smith has not improved at all, and Newton is better than last year, Smith has to be the starter.
  4. Maybe he needs to turn it around and say something like, I have paid over 9 million dollars in federal income taxes over the last 10 years...
  5. His 13% amounts to a very large amount of tax money paid. Half of the people in the US pay NO income tax at all, so it appears to me that he is paying his fair share anyway.
  6. He needs to put Ryan in the forefront as much as possible. He comes across very well in my opinion, especially compared to Romney.
  7. I could not care less about Romney's taxes. I want to hear someone who has some realistic solutions to the problems this country is facing. Politicians who have no plan result to tearing down their opponent because they have nothing better to offer..... I had hopes that Obama would be a leader who could bring the country together and help steer us on the path to financial stability........... and that has not proven to be true at this point.

  9. I did not see that part of the interview, maybe I missed part of it though.:idunno:
  10. Corbin has a couple of issues they must improve on to have a shot at winning, with the most important being ball security. Corbin is going to be a grind it out kind of team this year and should have a good running attack, but bad snaps, fumbles and penalties will prevent that offense from being effective. The other problem is allowing too many big plays on defense(i.e. last year's GRC game). Corbin has an attacking, gambling defense, with the DB's in man to man coverage and LB's blitzing on most downs, which leads to a lot of big plays for both teams. If they do not miss assignments or tackles, the defense is usually really good though.
  11. Romney stated on 60 Minutes that he would be using his own budget plan.
  12. I think that all are going to have to make sacrifices, which I believe his plan tries to accomplish. One would hope that it would least affect the elderly, but there obviously has to be some cuts there for any plan to work.
  13. Government entitlement programs have grown to account for 35% of wages, so there are some real tough choices that have to be made or the U.S. will be facing the financial crisis that Europe currently does. The problem is that the political leaders who are willing to tackle these problems will have a hard time getting elected with such a large percentage of voters on these programs.
  14. I thought he was the most entertaining player if college football last year. Let's hope that he cleans his act up.
  15. Student loan debt cannot be erased by bankruptcy.
  16. I'm not sure that I understand why UL would take a chance on Pike. He is obviously a potential problem, plus he is going to play a position that he has no experience at. I'm assuming he is getting a scholarship, but I believe that he would merit no better than an opportunity to walk on.
  17. The Governor of Ohio seems to be saying, at least that's how I take the following quote, that Ohio's unemployment is dropping in spite of Washington policies, instead of because of. "The best thing that can happen is for Ohio to continue pursuing the jobs-friendly policies that are tearing down barriers to job creation and for Washington to learn from our progress,"
  18. My guess is that you are right on at least a couple of these, with #1 being cutting social welfare programs. I believe that a lot of voters will base their decision upon; 1. Has the current President had enough time to turn around an economy that was tanking when he took office? 2. Will Romney be able to turn it around quicker, and will be cut back on social programs that will adversely affect them in doing so?
  19. I would vote for him over either one of the candidates... I went Democrat last time, don't believe I can pull that lever again this time around. I was hoping Romney might be a viable alternative, but he has not really done much of anything to give me any confidence in him...
  20. Why would the residents of Ohio and Florida vote for Obama? :confused:Is unemployment, homelessness, foreclosures, etc. not a factor in the way people vote?
  21. The country has continued on the downward spiral financially over the past 3.5 years, and there seems to be no end in sight. The "change" that was promised has not come to fruition, so I believe that Romney has a good chance at winning the election, despite himself....
  22. Hoover Alabama beat Evangel Christian from Shreveport La in the championship game.
  23. Yes..............if he had the same players.
