I have never seen Geisler or Stauffer play, but the potential Pittman has is amazing. He may have the most potential of any senior in the state. Going toe to toe with Pittman don't mean those guys have his potential as far as going D-1. Don't get me wrong I hope those guys get to go D-1.

It would be really hard to narrow it down to 12.

I believe that for the last 4 years the award has been decided after the Sweet 16 (before that, if I'm not mistaken it was decided before the Sweet 16). So in that 4 year span Pettigrew and Hood won it and both got beat out in the district. Miller and Justice won it and both won state titles. I thought Miller's senior year Mack played the best in the state, but Miller did lead his team to a state title. I thought Pettigrew's senior year he put up big numbers, but should atleast get his team out of the district if hes gonna win Mr. Basketball. I thought Matt Walls deserved it that year for leading his team to a state championship. I really believe the post season should weigh in on the award.

I think it depends on whether or not he gets seen in Kentucky. His team needs to travel around and where people can find out how good he is. I know I watch a ton of high school basketball and can't remember him being close enough to central Ky where I could go see him that I know of.

Knipp is in a situation to put up the biggest numbers so hes sitting pretty good right now.

Your right, most don't happen, but if a couple do it will really shake things up. A transfer helped Harlan Co. win their district this year. I don't know about any other transfers this past year in the 13th I don't believe.

This preview could change drastically depending on transfers. I don't know of any rumors specifically myself, but I've heard a lot of rumors about some guys moving around.

Last year based on what I saw I thought Dowe from Eastern would be on the team and wasn't. I seen him play 5 or 6 times and was very impressed by him.

Then you are seeing them different than college coaches because all of those guys had multiple college offers.

No disrespect to him, but I'd say most people understand what I'm saying. You never see coaches like Dave Henley, Steve Wright, Billy Hicks, Tim Riley, Chris Renner, Chris O'hearn, Wayne Breeden, Al Holland, and Jason Booher coaching the team. (Atleast I don't think none of those guys have coached the team).

Part of that maybe not having the best coach to oversee the team. Who is coaching the team this year? Really, you rarely see the best big named coaches coaching in the game. I'm not knocking the coaches they have had recently, but I don't think any of those guys would be considered the best of the best of Kentucky coaches.

This team should be much better than last year's team especially considering Richie Phares was injured and couldn't play and took out by far the best interior player fo Kentucky. This year's senior class isn't great at the top as far as having big stars, but there are so many good players in this class. The depth of this class is impressive IMO, but don't have any superstars really.

Ge'lawn Guyn and Elijah Pittman are D-1 calibur players too, but for whatever reason haven't committed to anyone yet. Also, if I'm not mistaken Thomas Jackson has gotten D-1 offers. Then there is the Washington kid who committed to USC and quit his HS team at E'town. I don't know what that situation was about.

I think it can be political. I don't remember where the coach of last year's team was from, but he chose a player from his team that wasn't all that good. This year will be very interesting because there will be a team picked and there will be atleast 10 players who won't make it with somewhat legitimate arguments about why they should have made it.

Congratulations to him. He has earned it. No one can argue he wasn't deserving of the award. Now, I understand people arguing for a couple other guys, but there is no doubt Justice has earned this award. He is a great Mr. Bball representative for our state.

To be honest I was kindof guessing. I do think Montgomery Co. will be better though.

To be honest I don't know of any specifically, but Les and Westsider were talking about transfers on the regional favorites thread. Those are the rumors I am referring to.
