Scott Co. over Hazard in the final.......77-62. Scott Co. won the JV also.

Scott Co. took out Clay by 22. Clay plays hard and will probably be one of the top 3 or 4 teams in the 13th this year. Hazard won the other semi and will face Scott Co. Like to see Hazard pull off the upset but I will say the U. of Scott by 20+.

Elkhorn defeated South Laurel in the opening game of pool play 38-26. That was the only loss for South. As far as banged up both teams suffered injurys in the bracket game. #60 for Elkhorn and #29 and #21 for South. Neither of the South players returned in that game. I will say though that Elkhorn and South looked to be the best two teams there and overheard a couple of people saying that the semi game between them should have been the championship game. South Laurel went on to defeat Breathitt Co. 39-16 in the final game.

Pretty good middle school 7 on 7 at UK today. South Laurel defeated Elkhorn in the semis and Breathitt Co in the finals to win it. The High School 7 on 7 will be this Sat. at UK. Heard today that they will be about 50 teams there Sat.

Ryle vs. North Laurel tomorrow morning at 9:00 am. The Allen vs. Sears matchup.

North Laurel won 4-0. Semi-finals are set in the winners bracket. Greenwood vs. Owensboro Catholic North Laurel vs. Ryle

South Laurel defeats Middlesboro 7-5 in 9 innings. South was down 4-2 going to the bottom of the 7th and tied it. Both teams scored a run in the 8th and South got a two run homer in the bottom of the 9th to win it.

Kind of comical that someone from North Laurel and from Lynn Camp talking smack about wrong kind of offense. North should worry about winning maybe 2 games this year and just how many D1 running backs have the Camp produced over the years??? Might want to really think more about that God awful "P" word too next time someone puts 11 in the box. Lungbuster's post is spot on about this issue, and as 76 said, if you're a player then you're a player.

They lose Bortnem, Jones, Duncum, and Price. Key players returning are Matt St. John, Matt Watkins, Zach Smith, Wes Dean and Matt Gilbert. Alot of young talent on the way also......... South Laurel will always be competitive in the 13th region. Big school with alot of basketball tradition.

If they meet Butler, it will be Sat. morning in the semis. I do agree that whoever wins that semi will be the state champion. Butler does have to face Ohio Co. first though.

Just an unreal comeback ..............South is going to Rupp for the 4th straight year. I really thought they were done when they got down the last time by 13. This team just knows how to win!!

South Laurel knocked off #4 ranked E-Town tonight 69-67. Clay and South should be a dandy Monday night.

As long as there are no big upsets in district play, every game in the 13th region tourny could very well be barn burner........By the way, nice win in a tough place for Corbin.

South Laurel played Wayne Co. twice during the regular season and South won both.
