  1. First of all, congratulations to Savannah Briggs...she is certainly one of the top players in the 9th region and deserving of any honors she receives. The 9th Region only has 4 head coaches (out of 19) who have joined the Kentcuky Softball Coaches Association. Until the coaches in our region get more involved, the 9th region teams and players will never get the recognition they deserve (All state, top 25, etc.). You can check the membership numbers at: http://www.kyhighschoolsoftball.com/
  2. Congratulations to the Lady Cougars. They are a very young team with only 1 senior and 1 junior. They've been playing well down the stretch and finally got over the hump against Ryle.
  3. I think the main challengers for Conner in the 9th this year will be Ryle and Boone County. Ryle will be young and inexperienced but there is some talent left. And, the new coaches will get a lot out of the team. Boone will also be solid. They have some young talent with travel ball experience. Beyond Boone and Ryle you would have to look at Dixie and Newport Catholic. Overall, I think the region is down a bit this year. Simon Kenton will be fine with their new coach. While he doesn't have any high school experience he's been coaching softball for a long time.
  4. I like Simon Kenton in the 8th and Conner in the 9th. Both teams have experienced pitching with a good core group behind them.
  5. I'll take Allen. You take Abner. Someone else can take Sears. And, another could take Lewellen. I bet we could have a heck of round robin.
  6. Does anyone have updates on the current games?
  7. I heard Allen did not pitch against Scott Co. Is that true?
