^ Well, The snow should be out of the way by Wednesday night, leaving at least all day Thursday and Friday morning to get to Lexington. I would think that they would go and just stay until the weather clears Sunday or Monday after the weekend storm. I agree that some won't allow their busses to go out. If I am a parent I would make sure my kid gets there. I was going to go Saturday, but depending on the weather I may just go Friday and come back that night.

I had a really nice time watching at Cooper today. Last week at Conner I spent about 90 minutes at the first meet I have ever attended, and I was at Cooper last night for about an hour as I was in the area. I had the pleasure of sitting next to and chatting with a gentleman from Newport, he seemed very pleased with the number of wrestlers they sent to state. I might end up in Lexington next weekend if I am free, maybe my connection at the Horse Park will help me out. Hear that Lawnboy? Free stuff, lol.

Depending on what time this starts, I may be there. It would be nice to get to meet some of the BGP members. If I show, I'll be wearing a black Erick Silva Bad Boy t-shirt and a solid black baseball type cap. Possibly my grey Bad Boy hoodie with Silva on the back.

Seems like the family is taking the high road, Their kid was punished and they want to get it over with and just move on. Not sure why non family members are making a huge deal out of it if his family isn't. But, I do think that the schools policy is a bit reaching, even out of the sport season and even off campus? It is what it is though. But to be carrying it in your backpack on school grounds? Can't complain about the punishment too much.

As a life long area fan of all sports, if the teams that I follow are out of the tourney, I am rooting for the local team to win a championship, unless I have some connection to other teams in other areas. When Holmes had some very good teams and was going to the Sweet 16, some were talking about their style of play. I like CCH as I think they have the best team and best staff and could do very well again in Lex. But if another team beats them from the 9th, I'll be pulling for them the same, and I hope that they are tough enough to go against whatever the other teams throw at them. :thumb:

Yes, and like Coach R, Sully is a very good coach, and with that comes doing what you can to win, and that also includes talking the officials. I don't care who the coach is, if they are right there on the floor just off the court, they hear things that those in the stands do not. In the past I have heard people in the stands complaining about come of his players as well, it was no big deal to me then either. Then why aren't some recognizing players who do far worse who are on less talented teams?

No, No I don't think I am. Are the people complaining just sour about a lose to CCH? Could be, we don't know. Same as what we don't know is what is being said on the court, the ref's most likely can hear it or at least see it, they don't have a huge issue with it. If what people in the stand see, the perception, and the refs don't seem to have an issue when they are right there and most likely hear it, unlike the people in the stands, then..... well, then that "perception" comes from something else. And I don't have a dog in this fight. But, I wouldn't mind my son playing at CCH for coach R, along with a couple of other coaches in the area. And as I have said before, are the players going on about this? Or is it just people in the stands who are upset.....

Are the opposing players going on complaining about it or are they hustling down the court to play? Possibly they will use it as motivation to stop him? Or is all the complaining coming from the stands and online from people who do not know what is being said. Again, if CCH wasn't winning, this wouldn't be an issue, as Two Bad Teams stated, what went on last night doesn't compare to what goes on in other games. But again, we just have to agree to disagree.

Yes, seriously. I am not talking serious talking, as was stated before, we don't have a clue what is being said, the refs more than likely saw it and they did nothing why.....? And as for your last part, this wouldn't be an issue if CCH wasn't winning and wasn't what most would say is the strongest threat to win the region. The idea that some outside of CCH becoming a "dynasty" must be playing into some of this talk against CCH. But we just have to agree to disagree.

Taunting a little is a part of sports, get over it, it doesn't have much to do with sportsmanship! What is that saying "Words don't hurt?" If anyone has any problem with something that is said on the court and that takes them out of the game, they have bigger issues that they need to worry about and may have issues in the real world. As long as it doesn't go too far, no big deal. Plus, as has been stated, no one in the stands know what is being said. I guess you would also have had an issue with WCS after his dunk last night when he went right over a guy from the side for a dunk, it should have been a foul, but here wasn't, and WCS gave a little reaction/taunt. No big deal, move on and play.

I agree! I love watching him coach, and he is right up there with my favorite coaches to watch in the area.

And my question to them is, how would this have effected the game? If you can't stand some taunting then you're weak!

There is a "contract"! NKU would be very wise to leave it alone, play in Regents, and move on. Again, a HUGE PR hit to an organization that doesn't have stellar PR to begin with. With the crowds (or lack of crowds) for NKU games, they could do very well in Regents, the atmosphere didn't hurt Kenny's teams.

There is a contact for the regional games at the BOK, which BTW will have a lot more fans than any NKU game. NKU, if they get so lucky to host and then advance, will have to play at Regents. Or further screw up their PR, really take a huge PR with those in the NKY area.
