  1. If FC contains SW's QB it will be a long night for SW... FC 42 SW 21
  2. I appreciate the boldness of your post... I was beginning to think that PT traveled with more than just all their "talent", it appeared to me they traveled with a built in excuse as well. I don't buy the "if they show up" excuse. You are what you are at this point, if you get drubbed then take it for what its worth...
  3. I realize the gap was wide last year, My point was never about comparing 2011 to 2012... Just to point out that 80% of the Falcons starters on this years team had the long ride home courtesy of PT and would like to repay the favor... But if you want to do comparisons of 2011 Monroe to 2012 Monroe you can chew on this, Monroe lost 5 regular season games last year and was outscored 89-158 in those 5 games. Verse those same opponents, the 2012 Falcons went 4-1 and outscored them 163-73...
  4. Last year, Monroe's season came to end at the hands of Paducah Tilghman. Monroe has 9 starters on offense and 9 starters on defense from last years team, I think they are loving the opportunity to end this years season for PT. Monroe in big games this year; In district games Roe out scored their opponents 137-38 In Roe's three biggest games vs Glasgow (9-2), South Warren (8-3) and Warren East (11-0) they out scored them 87-26 with all 26 coming from Warren East, as they shut out Glasgow and South Warren. Monroe's strength is it's defense and it's power running game, IMO there's nothing better to hang your hat on than that. If Monroe defends the pass well and gets pressure on PT's QB then I think the Falcons will be in good shape. Monroe's DE's and LB's are really good at stopping the run and we probable have the quickest DL that we've had in a long time. I predict a long ride home for PT... Monroe 35 PT 28
  5. I'd be shocked if PT leaves T-ville with a 28 point victory. Monroe has a solid defense with the best set of D-ends and LB's that we've had in a while. It'll be interesting to see how PT deals with getting popped in the mouth...
  6. Hopefully you're right... we would love to host an "All Falcon" regional title game...
  7. Falcons looked good despite the fact 80% of their offense was sitting. Defense played well, but will have to play better if they want to get by PT...
  8. These threads pop up every year. People post facts, statistics and valid points yet there is still those that attack football and its structure, but let the other sports get a pass... Football has the least impact on academics than any other sport, 95% of the games are played at the end of the school week and the season is as short as any other sport...
  9. I do believe you earn what you get. I believe these boy's (all of em) earned every game the KHSAA allows them to play in. They earned in in June and July in 100 degree heat when all their buddy's was riding around and walking the mall...
  10. I'm realizing its a wasted cause... Let em watch baseball for 6 months and basketball on every night of the week... This site has two breeds. Football lovers and others... Football lovers don't complain about more football.
  11. I'm blowed away by the people that get worked up because teams that may not deserve a playoff game get one. You would think in today's society were lots of people get things they don't deserve that one extra game would be a little more accepted.
  12. Don't be so sensitive. The point is that the revenue does help buy uniforms for sports that don't generate revenue.
  13. People (most people anyway) want football to get better in Kentucky. I don't see how more time playing and practicing hurts that...
  14. One point most overlook is how much revenue would be lost if half these teams lost this first round game...
  15. Monroe finishes the season at 9-1 with their only loss coming to 10-0 Warren East. As for this game, Monroe got somewhat exposed. Monroe's pass defense could have been much better and will have to be better if they want to host a regional championship. Heath wont be a problem but PT WILL beat the Falcons if they don't defend the pass. I expect that Coach Petett will use this game as a good teaching opportunity and show them that wins and loses come down to simple assignments, I remember the defenses Coach Petett had when he was coordinator going up against pass heavy teams like Owensboro Cath. they where always solid and played assignment football...
  16. 39-21... 22 rushing TD's on the season for Chad Wilson
  17. TD Roe... Wilson to the rescue 38-21 extra point coming
  18. 10min left in the game after a 97yard pass for a TD... Monroe up a 11 and looking sloppy...
  19. They've gotta get better at defending the pass or they'll have to put up 60 to beat a team like Paducah Tilghman...
  20. 260yrds of offense in the first half for Monroe...
