Having been to the try outs a couple times I would like to say that the coach seems to know who they want when practice starts. Anyone who has coached and been around sports notices the way the teams are split and who the coaches are looking at. Usually there are 1 or 2 that work their way on but thats it. 2 years ago Olivia Terry from Madison Central had by far the best try out and didn't make the team. I know this years process was a little different but I would bet the end result was close to the same. IMO it would be an extremely hard job to select the players. Lots of personal coaching preferences come into play here. By the way did the girl with the fresh shiner think she played well? :fight:

Lots of all star games are that way. Some one has to pay the bills. You still have to be selected. Several of the pay kind have the coaches association footing the bills. :fight:

Most girls players at the next level were multi sport athletes. The majority playing Basketball and volleyball. You would think parents would see that. We have found that playing other things keeps kids more focused and there is less burnout. As for fear of injury, injuries will happen you can't live or play in fear. :fight:

How many papers in the NKY area are there? How many are AP members? :fight:

Could wrestling be in their future? I wonder how long, if ever, before Kentucky has boys volleyball? Ohio has had it for several years now. I think they play it in the spring, kinda like the NCAA does mens. :fight:

Most should have already been required to have volleyball. It all depends on the total number of guy sports. Title IX issue. :fight:
