Jim Schue Posted April 12, 2006 Posted April 12, 2006 North Laurel softball coach Jimmy Durham reached the 300-win plateau today with a 1-0 win at Pulaski County. PC was also the sight of his first win nine years ago, a 35-0 victory that is still in the KHSAA record book as largest margin of victory in a game, and is the second-most runs scored in a game in state history. Durham has reached this plateau in only nine seasons. Congratulations, coach! :thumb:
MountainThunder Posted April 12, 2006 Posted April 12, 2006 I think a lot of Jimmy and am tickled that he reached this milestone. He is only the 4th coach in history to hit the 300 win mark in KHSAA fastpitch softball. He is at the helm of the school with the most wins alltime (387 entering this season), and appears to have the highest winning percentage amount active coaches (with over 200 wins), and has 1 state title and I believe 1 state runnerup. He is also still a very young man and if he chooses to continue coaching, he could be all over the recordbook.
notme Posted April 22, 2006 Posted April 22, 2006 Don't ya think his first win was a bit much? Was it really 35-0? Does Mr. Gilbert still ump every home game at North Laurel? :fight:
Jim Schue Posted April 25, 2006 Author Posted April 25, 2006 North Laurel passed another milestone over the weekend in the Capital City Classic when, with a win over Henry County, the Jags won the program's 400th game. North Laurel is the winningest program in Kentucky history.

North Laurel is the winningest program in Kentucky history. That's a bunch of wins. If you figure that NL started fastpitch softball in 1995, that is 12 seasons (including this year) at 33.3 wins per season, and this season is far from over.
