St.X and Trinity have unfair advantages, coaching, facilities, blah blah blah.... Ty Scroggins anyone? Here it is, plain and simple. I may be rehashing other ideas, but so be it.. How many public schools start in early january training themselves at a ridiculous level, in order to be ready for practice, which starts in july? Not many I assume. Im not saying public schools dont work hard. I can tell you of the few coaches I know who are currently coaching at public schools, that none of them can get thier kids to go at it as hard that early in the year, as the kids at T and X do. Some play other sports, some do other activities, some have jobs etc.. I cant speak for X, but Im almost certain that once January rolls around, its time to prepare for the season...weights, conditioning etc. I honestly believe that its at that point, where T and X begin to seperate themselves. Again, not downing the public schools, just merely stating an opinion. We can sit here and say T and X have more boys to choose from, but lets be honest. How many D1 players to T and X annually send to college? I'd be willing to be that the top two public schools send more. Heck, in the early 2000's, Male was sending EVERYBODY to major colleges, yet they only beat T 1 out of 3. The argument about T and X's coaching staff having success because they are there is absurd. I would put my money on the coaching staff being the BIGGEST reason why T and X are successful. Remember folks, in the previous 10 years before Beatty arrived at Trinity, they won 2 titles. Public schools need to stop making excuses. Public schools must improve from top to bottom, from coaching to facilities, from administrations to teachers. T and X weren't always dominant, and in fact, it used to be the public schools who dominated in everything. What took place was T and X refusing to be second best to anyone anymore. Now its public schools who have to refuse to be second best. That is of course, my opinion:thumb:

They are definately going to be tested early. From what I hear we're playing a VERY tough schedule. With that said, the coaches will no doubt have the men prepared for the post season.

The Rocks will be strong at QB,RB,WR and DB's. The upcoming sophomores are LOADED with talent. If they come of age and mix well with the upper classmen, I see no reason we wont win #20

Correct me if Im wrong, but the hand shake at the end of the game had nothing to do with either T or SK, it has something to do with the presentation of trophies I believe. SK and T had a great mutual respect for each other after the game. I was especially moved by the attitudes of the SK players and their staff. They relished not only the game, but the experience of being there. It was awesome to see that the coaches of SK have those kids heads in the right place. Sour fans on both sides need to back off and realize that two well coached teams played and acted well last night. That is how sports are meant to be.

Im off to the game, but before I go, just a few thoughts. Tim Phillips is going to have a huge final game as a Rock. He is a fine young man and I am proud to have seen him play. The Rock D is going to take today personally. The great backs rarely have great games when its all on the line. Ask Shaun Alexander, Victor Anderson, Chris Barclay among others. Jordan and Co smell blood, and they are going to be MEAN today. This game will be over by early in the 3rd quarter. Im not being smug, I just believe the Rocks are all about closing the deal. Take care of business and each other today Rocks, and bring home #19! TAKE STATE!!!!:fight::fight::fight::fight::fight:

The final answer to this will happen Saturday night. With that said, if Trinity wins by a landslide, this statement will be completely untrue. If in fact Trinity wins by what most people think, then I would go as far as saying that SK would not be the 2nd, 3rd, or even 4th best team in 6A. I would imagine that Ballard, Eastern and St. X would be those teams. Alas, this is why we play the games. May the best team (Trinity) win by a lot on saturday night. GO ROCKS

Ok, I have thought this over and over, and I've finally come up with it. Trinity and St X play 4 quarters of outstanding football, then we hit overtime. Trinity scores first followed by St X, who then kicks the PAT and it hits the upright and bounces back Rocks 21 St.X 20
