Chili Recipes 2.0
I make a killer Texas style and a white chicken, both in the crock pot. Basics for the Texas red. 1lb ground beef 1lb stew beef but in to 1/4-1/2 inch chunks 36 ounces Italian red sauce 1 14oz can hot chili beans 1 14 oz diced chili tomatoes 12 oz beer Add cumin, chili powder, salt, pepper, cyanne and smoked paprika to taste aAbout 2 hours in add teaspoon of cinnamon and a tablespoon of chocolate I prefer it thick, but Mrs GT likes it a little more thin so while I would typically add a small can of tomato paste it tends to get left out these days. Brown the ground beef and then sear stew beef just enough to get a little crust on the outside. Add both to the crock pot with sauce, beans, beer and tomato. Add 1st round of spice mixture and cover. Cook in the crock pot on high for the first 90 minutes and switch to low for another 3 hours. I usually taste every hour or so and add the spice mixture as is needed...

Nike EYBL Coming To Lexington
The EYBL is a very small event when comparing to pretty much everything else. The event really only needs 4-6 courts to run through all 40 teams in regular season play. 8 courts is the most on the EYBL circuit and most of the games on courts 5-8 are from the 16U side. KBA will be the perfect size to host an EYBL stop...

Is Damien Harris the best High School RB in Kentucky history?
Spelling has never been a strong suit... :lol2:

Is Damien Harris the best High School RB in Kentucky history?
OCD drives you to always be right. Hourning can't be the best high school RB in state history because he was a high school QB. You'll get 'em next time... :lol2:

Is Damien Harris the best High School RB in Kentucky history?
When you are splitting hairs to determine the greatest ever across generations, little things matter. I'm sure Lyons was fantastic, but he wasn't good enough to play RB at the highest level, and to me that matters in a debate to decide the hypothetical best. If you changed the premise to best ever RB from KY, Hourning jumps right to the top of the list with Alexander without question. Two horse race with the HoF being a powerful trump card...

Is Damien Harris the best High School RB in Kentucky history?
Again, Hourning was a QB in high school. You can't be the best high school RB in state history if you didn't play the position. I'm sure Lyons had a great career at X, but if he was so good as a RB, why was he a DB in the NFL???

Is Damien Harris the best High School RB in Kentucky history?
Good luck. Hope he does prove that the elite talent label was valid. Odds are he will end up falling short over time even though he had a high school career close to Alexander. Nothing wrong with being mentioned with the best ever when the debate comes up. Still makes you wrong, but I will try not to hold it against you...

Is Damien Harris the best High School RB in Kentucky history?
It isn't a fun discussion. You can name every name on the record books, and none were as good as Shaun Alexander. He had an outstanding career at every level, including when he played RB at Boone County. It is easy to say he was the best because he was the best, and he proved it at Boone, Alabama and Seattle. Thread title followed, and question answered...

Is Damien Harris the best High School RB in Kentucky history?
Numbers are one very simplistic portion of the debate. Alexander put up record breaking numbers in high school and backed those up at every possible phase past that. You can only discount what he did following high school to give anyone else a chance to be mentioned...

Is Damien Harris the best High School RB in Kentucky history?
It's amazing to me people think there has been a better RB in the history of KY football than Alexander. Absurd HS career. Dominating college career at Alabama. NFL MVP. He's that dude in this conversation...

Simon Kenton 45 Campbell County 14
Not sure what CC was thinking at the end of the 1st half. They weren't being aggressive going for a score, and the fumble on a QB dive gave SK the chance to take the lead and momentum. Add in the fumble on the first CC drive of the 2nd half as they were moving well down the field and the game turned in about 2 minutes of clock. Powell was a beast all game, picking up 7-8 yards on the "small" runs and racking up huge gains when he found some space. CC had no answer for him all night...

Make his case for best QB from KY using his RB stats that got him to the HOF. He didn't play RB in KY, so he's out of this one... :thumb:

Didn't hurt that a missed call on special teams forced Boone to play from behind, and running SA off tackle when trailing wasn't ideal... :sssh:

He was not a RB in high school as has been said here numerous times. Can't crown him the best RB when he played QB...

Is Damien Harris the best High School RB in Kentucky history?
How good was Alexander? ND arranged a band scholarship for his brother, who was a year older, in an attempt to get him to South Bend. I've never seen a better RB in KY and doubt I will...

Is it time New Cath and Beechwood stopped scheduling the 6A schools?
Here is the main problem Beechwood is dealing with. When they were dominating, they were regularly as good or better than all but 5-10 teams in the state regardless of class. Right now Mayfield is at that level and all you find out when they can't get the job done against a good but not great team like Dixie is that they aren't getting past Mayfield for the Class A title. That's the goal, and right now Beechwood isn't on the same level. If they drop the 6A schools they simply find out the reality of the situation in November. The issue isn't solved either way...

What kids from NKY could likely start for Moeller of Cincinnati?
Without seeing Moe yet this year, my guess is Johnson would start at DE if they are only playing three up front. One of the ends has to be able to hold the point of attack under the pass rushing LB in a 3-4 or 3-3-5 type system and Johnson would be perfect in that role. Might be a two down guy with an edge rusher taking his spot depending on the situation, but if you play 1st down you start...

Dixie Heights 48 Beechwood 21
Dixie dominated the point of attack on both sides, and that pretty much sums up the night. The Colones scored TDs on 7 of their 9 drives and the only two that didn't go for 6 were at the end of each half...
