I think Elliot is the best player as well, solid mid-range game for a kid 6'5-6'6, very nice touch, and he can get physical when needed. Watching them on multiple occasions last season however, I felt at times he didn't demand the ball enough....

Mason again is going to be a force in the 10th region, they really started slow last season, but it seems to be a complete 180. You can make a case that Miller is the best player in the 10th as a sophomore.

Bourbon is not in the Pendleton, GRC, Mason, Brossart first tier of the 10th region, but I think they head the second tier. Nice win for the Colonels....

Two top 5 teams in the 10th region, sounded like quality basketball. Mason looks good to move into the #2 spot in my poll coming out tommorrow,

Both of these teams are sure fire favorites for their regions. South Laurel gets revenge over last year's loss.... Pendleton will be fine, but I was surprised by the final score..

I was at last year's game at the 5/3rd, and enjoyed it. I believe Pendleton jumped out to a 22-4 lead en route to their victory. I suspect this game will be more closer contested. Both have been very impressive so far, and I look forward to seeing both in the coming weeks and months. With the game being played in London, I'll have to go with the champs in a good one. Basically the truth, in his last year or two, very little underclassmen came out, and I dont believe there was a JV program.

Not as many as they need to field a respectible 3A program. It's really jsut been a problem that goes back to the later stages of Chuke William's term, and the inability to get bodies out for the team has been a major concern. The best athletes have played only basketball....

They have a new fieldhouse that is about 5 years old, the facilities aren't the problem, the lack of getting playing out has been a major concern (can be attributed last Chuke Williams year of 2003). They dressed 15 players for senior night that year, and 13 were Seniors.

About the hiring process...... They wont wait long. When they had their basketball opening last summer, it took them a little over a week to find their guy (Daniel Brown.) It probably wont take long, but this hire will determine if Bourbon regains any kind of respectibility in the near future.

Very doubtful. Bourbon needs a "slam dunk" hire like that, but I doubt it happens... This isn't a very popular move by anyone I know, and the last thing the program needed. It's really a complete mockery of what it was 10 years ago, and Dalhstrom is way down the list on people to blame.

I believe Aaron Dalhstrom resigned due to "family reasons." He was 0-20 in his two years, but the record doesn't speak to his overall coaching ability. I thought Aaron did a good job while as coach, and his coaching was far from the main reason why they didn't win a game in his 2 seasons. Hopefully Bourbon can bring in someone as classy as Dalhstrom, he's a good man, and I wish him all the best in the future. Just a flat out quality guy. There has been a lot of funny stuff going around central office at Bourbon Co. lately, hopefully this was really his decision, and he wasn't forced out by a higher power.

Defintely was another great show this year, would like to thank everyone that I met, some really fun and great people around the area. It was a pleasure.

The Friday session will start at 6 or 6:30 The morning Saturday session will start at 10 The afternoon Saturday session starts at 4:30.

Oak Hill will be coming back to Paris, along with Brentwood Academy and UNC signee Brendan Wright (he puts on a show, it's worth the price of admission.) 5 Lexington Schools will participate this year, along with the host Bourbon Co. who will take on Wolfe Co.
