Nothingbutnet Posted December 21, 2005 Posted December 21, 2005 I think the home court or area, depending on which gym it is played in Laurel County will help South Laurel. But I think that Pendleton County will pull this one out by a slim margin!
FalmouthRedDevil Posted December 21, 2005 Posted December 21, 2005 I hope Pendleton pulls this one out. It will be interesting to see what happens with the state rankings if they do!!!
bcfan24 Posted December 21, 2005 Posted December 21, 2005 I was at last year's game at the 5/3rd, and enjoyed it. I believe Pendleton jumped out to a 22-4 lead en route to their victory. I suspect this game will be more closer contested. Both have been very impressive so far, and I look forward to seeing both in the coming weeks and months. With the game being played in London, I'll have to go with the champs in a good one. SL 64 PC 61
CashMoney Posted December 21, 2005 Posted December 21, 2005 You think South Laurel remembers last years game? Think they won't be ready to avenge it on their home court? I look for a fired up South Laurel team to try and take it to Pendleton County and with homecourt who knows. BUT, with that said this Pendleton County bunch is nothing if not an intelligent, poised basketball team. There will be several Pendleton fans down there to support them...I look for a good one. My bias prevents me from picking Pendleton to lose. I'll say Pendleton by 2 in an instant classic. Will the gym be packed for this one?
mhighfield Posted December 21, 2005 Posted December 21, 2005 Man this is a toughie to pick,Mind says SL by a couple but the way PC has played its tough to say.Either way should be a dandy.

Tonight the fold-out seat section was full, but other than that the gym was pretty much open. I'm agreeing with you on a close game. This is a very hard game to pick a winner. I won't make any predictions until tomorrow. It depends on how I'm feeling. Good luck to both teams.
Jim Schue Posted December 21, 2005 Posted December 21, 2005 This one's way too close to call. Both teams match up very well with one another. I look forward to the Walt Allen-Pat Elliott battle inside, as well as the Trey Smith-Kane Belcher matchup. Needless to say, both coaches were very excited about the matchup as far as using it for a measuring stick. Both teams have shot above 55 percent in their two games in the tournament, so I'm looking for an extremely high level of play from these two. Get there early!
eagles135 Posted December 21, 2005 Posted December 21, 2005 Should be a great showdown of 2 top programs. I'm pumped, talked about it all day at work. My boss is a South Laurel graduate and I am a Pendleton Co grad! See you tomorrow night!
Kevo302 Posted December 21, 2005 Posted December 21, 2005 Les is picking South to lose this one. So I'm sayin south by 15, Les I love ya man but I don't agree with you sometimes.
Kevo302 Posted December 21, 2005 Posted December 21, 2005 lol, I don't have practice tomorrow, I'm up all night.
