  1. Can Bill Walker shoot? I haven't seen him enough to be certain, but just watching him warm up against LaSalle it didn't look like he had much of a jump shot? Also judging from a distance (a very far distance) I would have serious doubts how coachable is Walker.
  2. I was at the St. X / Highlands game this year and I was very unimpressed with how many people the biggest school in the state had at a home game.
  3. On one hand I think in the 9th region we have some of the worst officals in the state. On the other hand I don't know why anyone would want to officiate.
  4. Really? Can someone tell me about the era in Male history that just preceeded the Bob Redman days? Mayfield has one more state championship I believe, but Male has a few more wins (it can't be too many because Mayfield has a ton too). For the record I voted for Mayfield and I didn't think it was all that close of a decision.
  5. Today in the Cincy Enquirer they talk about a new book that features the greatest upsets in sports history and then they discuss the greatest upsets locally. Here it he article: http://news.enquirer.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20060129/SPT/601290434 What are some of the greatest upsets we have ever seen in high school football?
  6. If they were stayin in house wouldn't they have already have pulled the trigger?
  7. What about Bellevue last year? In fact how many 3rd places finishes does Holy Cross have in the district without Mr. Strong and Armstrong?
  8. I wasn't there so I certainly don't want to argue anything, but the radio guys kept saying 3 dribbles were taken in 2 seconds. For what it is worth, they also attributed the Tieney walk to condensation on the floor.
  9. Wasn't that my point? You make either team look bette depending on the sample you use.
  10. Was anybody physical for Highlands other than Guidugli? The other Highlands guys just don't strike me as all that physical. Well maybe Eaton, but nobody else.
  11. My opinion of Larry Vaught is that he is Sam Harp's lap dog. Now why Sam Harp is so anti-private I don't know, but he is and thus so is Vaught.
  12. Can you tell us how rough was it (for those of us that were next door at KY Elite experiencing open gym night and listening on radio)?
  13. Why stop at 1990? If you go back to the 1980's Cov. Cath was just barely on the basketball map. You can play any game you want with stats, but I would be surprised if Highlands doesn't have more regional championships than Cov. Cath in the last 25 years, which is the only state that matters in my opinion. Of course I have already put on display my quick recall skills so this is subject to correction.
  14. Very true. I don't know where I got that. Memory is failing.
  15. In 1986 New Cath was still AAA and a bigger rival. I think Cov. Cath. became Highlands rival after beating Highlands in 1987 and winning state. Each year after that it got bigger and bigger.
  16. I will guess virtually everyone will keep the same schedules with the sites reversed. One exception is Elder replaces Colerain on Highlands schedule.
  17. What to be true? The only thing I know for sure is they went to a better football school.
  18. There is nothing accurate about that post. I know 2 kids who went from Highlands to Cov. Cath. specifically because they were having various issues at Highlands. Kids move schools for various reasons all the time.
  19. I think Highlands would rather play NCC than Pulaski SW or Madison Central.
