Tates Creek / Harlan County @ Bryan Station
PulpFiction replied to GOINGFOR2's topic in KY Football (High School)
I wouldnt compare w. Jess to Harlan Co. I think T.C. will have a tough time slowing them down. Should be an entertaining game. I will say Harlan Co. by 2 T.D.'s. -
I feel the overall complainig was a result of the lack of overall talent playing in this tourney. I have been going since 1986 and i do believe this was as down as i have seen it. Hope we see things pick up in the near future.

If they are able to get to rupp i think you have to consider Mike Jones of Harlan Co. Team is 26-4 headed into dist. tourney. This would be 3rd different 13th region team he has gotten to rupp if they are able to pull it off. Will be even better next yr as they 5 juniors and a fresh. out of top 7 players.

Yes they are the only ones providing the revenue and thats why schools cannot afford to lose any money on these trips. Also hurts the gate on these road trips.
-
Also long road trips are hurting your gate.
-
Takes alot more money to provide for 50-60 kids then it does 10-15.

I believe schools cannot survive with this 6 class system due to financial reasons. Currently people are having to do much more traveling for district and playoff games and schools are strapped for cash. If something is not done I think you will see some schools having to drop the sport and this would be awful. 4 Classes is a must but Im not convinced it will change.

The Most "dominating" RB in KY history?
PulpFiction replied to Lawnboy13's topic in KY Football (High School)
I agree that Alexander was the best. Since we are throwing names around Im gonna throw a few that have not been mentioned. Deshae Henson in early 90's was a beast @ Clay Co. and deserves to be mentioned with most of these. Harrodsburg H.S. had numerous outstanding backs from 70's-2000. Would have to throw in Donald Smith,Henry Parks,Tutti Ford,Craig Yeast among a few from this small school with loads of talent to come through it. -

I am probably the only person on this board that has seen both Harlan Co. and Franklin Co. play live this yr. Actually have seen them both play twice. If it indeed comes down to those two in the semis,And I think it will ,I feel Harlan Co. is just way too physical and Franklin would never slow there offense down. Franklin is explosive on offense but just would not be able to score enough. I would say a 3 t.d. difference.

Nice 1st round game. I believe Boyle wins but I think it is a really good game.
