From what I have seen in yrs past their attendance is never good until about the regional finals. Therefore, you probably will never see a big crowd this yr. This team is extremely weak physically and not very fast. That is not a good combination.

When you sell out to stop the run you look great against inferior teams. This comes back to haunt you when talent level matches up. Games I can think of in the past with Rock would be Bell,Knox,Corbin,Danville,Lex Cath to name a few. Yes these are good teams year in and year out. However I have seen these teams like these play good defensively when their talent levels may not have been as good as other years. It sounds like you may be close to the program. I still would not take anything from Larkey. He is a great coach. I think he is a great offensive coach and does a great job utilizing his talent on that side of the ball. I just do not like the def. philosophy. H.C. will still be really good because of their talent level. I hear they have some pretty good skill.

With some of the talent they had they could have played any defense they wanted. Just like m-boro. When they have good talent their defense looks great. When they dont have the talent the defense looks horrible. If these teams played more sound defense they could still be pretty good with not as great of talent. Hope that did not confuse anybody.

That defense was successful at one time until teams figured it out. This is not a sound defense. What has Rock done lately?

The defense was smothering tonite. Big turn around from week one. Sure is alot of athleticism out there. The several sophomores that are playin made great strides tonite. Can't wait until next week.
