  1. CAL? Saint X? May not have the power 4 offers, but they are wayyyyyy better coached and players are far more disciplined. There is a reason why schools like that repeat success year after year....
  2. One would think it would be an inside hire with the amount of coaches on they have on their bench.....
  3. Man, Apollo must live in your head rent free if you are bringing them up on a BG post!
  4. SEC is trash. Go Duke.
  5. The Apollo/Heritage Hills (Indiana State Champs) will be a great indication to see if Apollo is the real deal.
  6. Max Johnson will be a problem for everyone that Apollo faces next season. They averaged 30 ppg with Johnson as a Sophomore. This should be the year he elevates his game to the next level. Losing Board will be tough, but I think they have a great shot and can match up with them athletically. Of course, containing Hampton will be a problem for anyone, but I am unsure how OHS air attack will be with a new offense/QB.
  7. Apollo has a great shot of winning their district year, and their ceiling has risen even higher. Could this be the year that the Eagles snap their nearly two decade long losing streak in the first round of the playoffs?
  8. Do track programs typically allow athletes who play football participate in Spring Ball? I have heard stories about some allowing and some against it. What is everyone's opinion on that?
  9. We are thrilled to have Q back at Daviess County. This will get us in the right direction and I believe he will get more players out!
  10. There will be some barn burners in round one. Ty Price and company will be difficult to stop!
  11. Any ideas on other potential candidates? I hearing Q Wallace as a potential front runner.
  12. We have little insight about what is going on. Hopefully they hire a candidate with a lot of experience who can get us back on track. However, I do not think this is an attractive job for anyone who has had great success.
  13. At this point, the delay in hiring a head coach is doing real damage to the program. Offseason workouts, weight training, and player development are already well underway at most schools, and every day without leadership puts the team further behind. Players need structure, a vision, and a culture to buy into. Without a coach in place, how can they establish expectations, build team chemistry, or even start planning for next season? The longer this drags on, the harder it will be to recover—not just for this season, but for the long-term health of the program.
  14. @TimeWillTell Owensboro will go 1-3 in City County this year. What will the old Owensboro guys think about that?
  15. I thought Owensboro fans were calling for the Red Devils to step away from city county? Who would you replace those games with?
  16. Will Ganaway be able to retain the entire OHS coaching staff? Is he bringing new faces on board?
  17. What indication are you seeing about Apollo QB transfer? Haven't heard it anywhere but this thread....
  18. I think this Apollo team has a chance to be one of the big first round upsets across the state. Apollo's defense will have to play their best game all year. They are young, but they have evolved to be a high scoring opponent offensively, averaging 30 ppg v.s. last season--- a mere 14 points a game. A healthy Apollo team that can eliminate mistakes early and capitalize on their big play maker abilities, can be a very dangerous team and could certainly upset this South Warren team on any given night. Apollo: 28 South Warren: 21
  19. 9 Interceptions on the season with a loaded schedule as well.
  20. Apollo forced 5 turnovers and had nearly 400 yards of total offense. It was way more than special teams that won that game.
