It was definitely a great game. If somerset makes a free throw it is over. I still can’t believe they called a technical foul on Lewis after all was initiated by Boyd. No way it should’ve been a technical on either player. I think it is clear goaltending after video, but I’ll give the refs a break with being a hard call to make live. Then we had coaching staffs exchanging words and maybe some shoving afterwards. This game had it all!

I never understood what the call was, but I know that would have sent Phillips to the line already up 2. Huge call

Tough indeed. I didn’t expect Pulaski to be the one holding the ball, but that is what they did.

I also believe Bartley serves as a tough match up for DCA and their two bigs. Not necessarily on the offensive side, but with his physicality I think he could give them some problems defensively and rebounding.

Pulaski and Lincoln will be packed. The two best programs of the last decade and both having very loyal fan bases. This could be the best game of the tournament.

DCA could very well roll Somerset, but out of the losers I think Somerset offers the biggest challenge to the Warriors. Somerset shoots the 3 well, and outside of district opponents they are the most familiar with DCA. I fully expect Coach Young to have the Jumpers ready and believing they can pull the upset.

Two games that stick out to me tonight are Southwestern at Wayne and Pulaski at Somerset. Southwestern is coming off a big win against Lincoln County after struggling for a few games. Wayne is coming off a big win against Somerset Christian. I am not sure what kind of district seeding is on the line. I look for Somerset to be much more competitive this time against Pulaski with the return of Absher. I haven’t heard if Pulaski has Carson Fraley returning or not. It will be interesting to see how each coach makes adjustments from their previous matchup.

I agree one hundred percent. What’s weird is Pulaski is limited to injuries too. They have started playing their best basketball without Carson Fraley. I’m not sure they will even get him back, but if they do it will be interesting to see how he fits back in.

I didn’t say anything about the Jumper's. I have been very commemorative of Somerset this year, and have even said in this thread as they get healthy they will climb the rankings. I just asked a question that I did not know the answer to because that score shocked me. Somerset winning doesn’t surprise me, but winning by 30 points raised the question.

Not to take anything away from the Jumpers, but did Mcreary have anyone missing? I was surprised that the score was so lopsided because the Raiders had been playing better as of late.

Don’t all districts have to use RPI now? I could totally be wrong on that, but thought I read that somewhere.

Solid job! I think somerset will climb back up the rankings as Absher gets healthy. The first 4 I think are pretty clear right now.

Coach Fraley has been great. It just seems like his teams always play hard. A lot of nights that is more than half the battle. Pulaski does seem to be peaking at the right time. Since they got beat at DCA they have been putting some good games together. I chose to stay home and watch UK last night, did Fraley play?

I have noticed this too. You think they are being instructed to do so? They have been ejecting fans as well. It just seems to be happening more this year than I remember in the past.

Based on the two videos I watched I’m not sure how the Montgomery County player wasn’t ejected too.

Best game I have seen Pulaski play this year. They were flying around everywhere. Physical game!

What is going on at Boyle? Why the transfers?

This is huge for them! I thought when he had is injury that it would require him to miss the entire year.

Good win for the young Cardinals. I expect them to improve as the season goes on. If they can find another true scoring threat to help Phillips then they will be a tough out for someone.

I heard at breakfast this morning that this one ended in chaos. Supposedly Coach Young got a technical with 20 something seconds left, and things kind of came unglued. Players got in a fight, benches cleared, and maybe a few fans got in the mix as well. I wonder if any players got ejected?

Any live streams for Somerset and Rockcastle tonight? Boyle and Wayne? Any other 12th region matchups I’m missing?

According to KHSAA Pulaski beat South Laurel. Maybe Pulaski is starting to figure things out.

Rankings are just rankings, but I just don’t view Southwestern as number 3. Close wins over #11 McCreary and #14 Somerset Christian then getting dominated by Mad Central. However, I do think they are improved from a year ago. Somerset is definitely playing better than people predicted. Right now I think the top 2 are clear. I’m going to guess Pulaski has some kind of Christmas Tournament that is not updated on schedule yet. I don’t remember Fraley ever not playing after Christmas.
