Just wanted to point out that population is not the full picture in these comparisons. Boyle County has 4 High Schools: 3 Public and 1 Private Jefferson County has 64 High Schools: 42 Public, 22 Private (19 Co-ed and 3 All Boys) (assuming I counted correctly - no I did not go so deep to see if they all have FB teams, I did at least take out the all-girls.) At the end of the day BC and T had great seasons but they did not play so all of the conversation is bluster, would a could a and excuses - Which is why you play the games.

I always wondered if Rondale was snubbed because he was from New Albany, IN and because he transferred from New Albany HS to Trinity after his Sophomore season. But then again as a T grad, I'm a bit jaded and bias LOL. I loved the heart on that kid.

Brian never started a game as a frosh? I guess you are right, he took over the starting job as a sophomore as I recall.

I would go: Boyle, T, FD, Corbin, Male for top 5. FD and T were very evenly matched. FD gets the nod on raw talent but the T at the end of the year was simply not the same T that lost 3 of 5 to start the year.

I'll be honest. Under Beatty THS is undefeated last year and this year with these kids IMHO. T is still the big dog but it will never be that easy again. Bob was flat out a legend of a coaching machine. That being said, congrats to Coach Cobb on getting #1. He's defenses are outstanding and his offensive play calling keeps me up at night but at the end of the day he got the job done.

Tried watching this today. Got all the way to the 2 minute mark left in the game and the App crashed LOL. Sadly there does not seems to be a way to fast forward and I had to start at the beginning again.

Need to see a replay on that one! That looked like either a pick or reception on the steal.

Got this from a friend. The most significant things I noticed were: St X. 0 for 10 on 3rd THS 6 of 6 in red zone. Both teams averaged nearly 6 yards per play, the difference was that T kept it on the field on 3rd down and X did not.

After placing 11th in 2022, this was the program's 21st Cross County State Title and first since back-to-back titles in 2018 and 19. The Rocks were led by Junior Eli Oetken who finished 5th overall with a time of 15:45. Trinity won the team competition with a score of 95 points edging out a strong showing from 4th ranked Cooper who finished 2nd with 123 total points led by Paul Van Laningham in a time of 15:41. Top individual honors in the 3A meet went to James Ndayishimiye of 2nd Ranked Lafayette with a time of 15:27. Adam Patel of North Oldham (15:32) and Lincoln Herald of Grant County (15:36) rounded out the top 3 individuals. 3rd Ranked Louisville St. Xavier held onto 3rd place in the team competition despite their highest-placed runner finishing 27th with 192 points. North Oldham on the strength of placing 3 runners in the top 10 (2nd, 5th, and 7th) placed fourth with a score of 204. While Conner wrapped up the team top 5 with a score of 226. Lafayette, ranked 2nd at the end of the season finished a disappointed 7th with 248 points.
