Trinity 38 Saint Xavier 14

Featured Replies

Shamrocks dominated St. X again. Good luck to the Shamrocks the rest of the playoffs.

The atmosphere starting out was electric.

It took a while, but Trinity took the wind out their sails.

After stopping X on 4th and 1 at the goal line, the Rocks took over.

The Trinity running game dominated and set up the pass. The Trinity defense was smothering. Their speed was apparent.

Kudos to the coaching staff on a well called game.

Refs from the 9th region did a nice job.

This Shamrock train is back on track. They appear to be 6A favorites. Congrats to the Rocks on the convincing win.

That is nine in a row in the playoffs for the Shamrocks over the Tigers.

And 19 of the past 23 in the series.

Impressive night for the Rocks.

No big stars on this Trinity team, just a lot of good, tough football players.

Agreed. I watched the regular season T/X game in person and X seemed to be a little less athletic than in previous seasons. Their makeup was a little more Wolford than Wallace.

If they are less athletic than they wish to be (which I agree that they are), why not adjust the style to utilize the players they have?  More under center and power football and less spread.

Got this from a friend.

The most significant things I noticed were:
St X.  0 for 10 on 3rd
THS 6 of 6 in red zone.

Both teams averaged nearly 6 yards per play, the difference was that T kept it on the field on 3rd down and X did not.
