Not sure what rumors you’re referencing but I think it will generate a lot of good interest. As noted, great facilities and some nice talent as they return everyone next year. And it looks good for the next several years. And as far as basketball, I think they have one of the more passionate fan bases in the 12th. That’s worth a lot for a coach.

Agreed. They have plenty of talent in the next several classes. Nicest gym in the 12th and an excellent indoor training facility. Is this the only 12th region job that’s currently open?

I’m not sure who’s the better team. Like last year, it’s probably a toss-up most nights. GRC had the tougher road the last few days, in terms of both opponents and (definitely) scheduling, yet still made a game of it. It’s frustrating that they can’t play the championship game on Sunday, but it is what it is. All of that said, congrats to Warren Central on winning the championship!

Wow, never would’ve thought this! Looks like PC is going to get the win on Lincoln’s home floor. But it’s not quite over yet.

As I mentioned, it’s not a knock on the players. It’s a credit to what Lincoln does for and to players.

If those 5 starters had attended many/most of the other 12th region schools from middle school up, this group wouldn’t be playing for a regional championship tonight. But they have been developed and taught the game from middle school up. They absolutely are getting the most out of their talent and are better as a whole than the individual pieces would indicate. That’s a credit to the job Jeff Jackson has done, and even Coach Ralston in middle school. Just my opinion. Not knocking the kids or team at all. If you like basketball, they’re a fun team to watch. Their basketball IQ is off the charts. Maybe last year was his best coaching job, but he did lose importance pieces. So both years were excellent coaching jobs! He just gets it done year in and year out.

Seemed out of the ordinary to me. Definitely not one of their better games for sure.

There have been way too many charges called in this tournament. It encourages flopping.

N Laurel’s semifinal game came down to the wire. That was the real championship game.

They sure didn’t have the movement on offense that I expected. And their two best 3 point shooters missed everything they shot. Lincoln looked like the better team. They just did everything well as is usually the case.

No they cannot! Lincoln returns to Rupp and the win will put a ribbon on one of Jackson’s most impressive coaching performances.

West Jessamine in a close one, but I’m not really confident about that. West has more talent but Lincoln’s crowd is worth a lot. And Jackson is a master at winning with less talent.

I’m picking West in a close one and Pulaski by double digits. I think Lincoln’s home court advantage does matter but that West is the better, more talented team.

I don’t disagree. Seemed like I saw more charges called last night in those 2 games than I’ve seen all year. Most were bad calls. But as you pointed out, they figured out a way to finish those drives. I can’t recall watching a game where a team had more drives for layups. I’m thinking some sort of matchup zone would’ve been in order. And they did try a 2/3 to start the 4th but that is hard to do when you’re playing from behind.

Pulaski is so good at getting fast break buckets. And Mercer couldn’t guard them man to man. If they’d started the game in zone, they’d have had a much better chance.

Boyle’s biggest issue all year has been scoring the ball and just lost their leading scorer (at least I think he is). How do they attempt to replace or mitigate that? And who takes his spot in the lineup? Who plays PG for them? What type of defense does Mcreary typically play?

West is looking very good. It’s hard to pick against Lincoln at home but I feel like West is the team to get it done. Lincoln was down to Wayne at the end of 3 and didn’t look great. Should be a good semifinal!
