McCreary Central vs. Boyle County Updates

Featured Replies

Quarterfinal #4 with a start time of 8:15 in Stanford. Who ya got?

Definitely think this one could be as good as the Lincoln-Wayne game from night one. Boyle was a bad draw for whoever drew them.

  • Meyers needs to step up for Boyle.  The kid is capable of big #s offensively.  It hasn't happened much this year, but he is more than capable.

  • 15-11 McCreay end of 1.  Kyle Stephens deadly in transition.

  • Absolutely. I know he is a baseball first kid, but he is a great athlete and a solid basketball player. I really saw it when they played Lincoln the first time and he had 26 points. If he steps up, ev

Coach Webb mentioned on the radio Quisenberry was out tonight?  If true, that's a big issue and changes my selection.  Give me the Raiders 62-56.  Kyle Stephens (POY) is as tough as the come, and McCreary's other guys will be active on the backboards.  If Quisenberry does plays, and is effective I would go Boyle Co. in a close one.

Yeah, that's a tough development because if true, that really hurts Boyle on the offensive side of the ball. Tarter is good, but for him to shoulder the majority of the scoring would be a win for McCreary.

Boyle’s biggest issue all year has been scoring the ball and just lost their leading scorer (at least I think he is). How do they attempt to replace or mitigate that? And who takes his spot in the lineup? Who plays PG for them?

What type of defense does Mcreary typically play?

The collective size @ the rim for McCreary is pretty solid too.  Privett, Mckinnley and Stephens are all pretty well built kids.  I would think Hager would get more of a run if Quisenberry is really out, and play bully ball some.

M2M and keep you out of the paint.  Solid defensive/rebounding team.

I thought going into the season he was potentially an all-region type guy.  That didn't happen, but doesn't mean he can't write a great story in this tournament.  He can get microwave hot from 3.

100%. Really good shooter with great form and rotation.

Quisenberry is in street clothes.  I’ll do quarter updates in this one.  I’m excited for this one.  I’ve been on McCreary train all year.  Will see how they stack up!

15-11 McCreay end of 1.  Kyle Stephens deadly in transition.

23-23 @ Half.  Two physical defensive teams.  Avery Bodner for Boyle Co.  Providing some unexpected offensive punch with some 3s.  Stephens with 12 pts and several rebounds.  Boyle may have found something going to a half ct zone towards end of half.

Bodner has 10 points to lead Boyle Co.  I couldn’t imagine they would expect that as he has been their defensive stopper most of season.  He’s been primary defender on Stephens most of game thus far.
