I'm sure the other teams on the Eastern side of the state would disagree with it being a free pass, but yes. They divide the state until the semis. So if they make it the 3 of Mayfield, OC, LCA would be 3 of the final 4 from the west in the 3rd round.

I know there were a lot of eye popping scores this week, but seeing a running clock one minute in to the second quarter is something I don't think I've witnessed live before. I'm not sure of Holmes schedule the rest of the year, but hopefully there are a few games sprinkled in they can win to build on. I know it's been a very rough start this year. Lloyd keeps rolling and I think if any team watches this film and still decides to kick to Sebastian, they are being foolish. Good win Juggs

Yeah, I was thinking maybe Bethlehem at the beginning of the year and potentially Bourbon County. But other than LexCath and NewCath, not sure the schedule is going to provide a good look. Should make for a nice record, we will she how that prepares them for the playoffs.

Love seeing Lloyd up in the rankings, just wish I knew more about the 3A class in general to gage where they may fall

Sounds like Yuri Collins had an outstanding day on the ground. Potentially over 300 yards, but I'll wait until stats come out before I dare confirm that.

I was at work but I heard the last touchdown scored by Boone was in the last minute on Lloyd's JV which means it would have been running clock before that.

I think the Boone County game last year was Sebastian's coming out party at QB. I know Boone had a great week 1, but did they add anyone to help contain the Lloyd offense. Lloyd won by 3 TDs last year and returned 90% of the team. I expect something similar.

I think NewCath's line should hold up much better this week. They are very young on the line, but were essentially thrown to the wolves last week. Lloyd had 6 players in the top 50 for sacks last year in 2A and returned 5 of them. Walton did have 2 in the top 50 last year, but both graduated I believe.

Lloyd Memorial have a couple home games that could add multiple schools to the list this and next year and also keep you in NKY

Seemed like such a quick game! Between NewCath controlling the clock and Lloyd only attempting 3 passes, it just seemed like the game flew. There were times were Lloyd looked like a team 4 days removed from losing their quarterback and times they looked worthy of their #6 3A ranking by BGP. A few times it looked like the score was going to end up much worse than it was for NCC. Kudos to the Thoroughbreds for not letting that happen. Both teams obviously have things to work on but they also have things they can build off of. Looking forward to seeing how the rest of the season unfolds for them.

I expect this to be a better than recent years Lloyd team able to build on last year. How they finish with the move up to 3A, I don't know. I don't know a lot above the 3A schools but based on this and other polls, are most of the "Top Ten" teams on the west side of the state?

Especially when the alternative can cause you a situation like Newport is going through.
