No love for Mercer?

Love seeing Lloyd up in the rankings, just wish I knew more about the 3A class in general to gage where they may fall

Neck and neck with Glasgow, I would say. They've been much better than I was expecting in their first two games.

Lots of new faces in Class 3A this season so its a little hard to judge at this point. I think CAL is definitely the favorite but I don't really know how they stack up to LexCath (4A state quarterfinalist last year; beat Boyle) and Central (always a tough schedule and always good).

Then you've got Bell and Belfry who have been near the top of the heap in 3A for some time. Bell seems really strong; Belfry may be a step back compared to some of their past teams because of youth and some lost transfers.

After that it really is a hodgepodge of teams like Hart, Union, Franklin-Simpson, Glasgow, Mercer, maybe Clay County and Fleming County. Perhaps some others. I believe Lloyd is ranked right about where they should be ranked, but like you, I don't really know how to compare them with those above them just yet.

Really the only team to compare them with would be Newport Central Catholic which Lloyd had no problem with them. But the rest of their schedule I believe all the teams are pretty much down and I don’t think we will be tested until Lexington Catholic game.

Yeah, I was thinking maybe Bethlehem at the beginning of the year and potentially Bourbon County. But other than LexCath and NewCath, not sure the schedule is going to provide a good look. Should make for a nice record, we will she how that prepares them for the playoffs.
