Seybold24 replied to Seybold24's topic in KY Girls Basketball (High School)
Don't think so, but I could be wrong, Twitter states he's a retired coach. -
Head Coach Jimmie McCulley has resigned, any ideas where Garrard Goes next?

Something I can't afford. It was super expensive the last time I looked. High enough to click out of the page real quick and not be interested anymore 😂 -
Garrard County losing some Stars to Boyle County?

Totally agree. The standard is high at Boyle County, these two kids would be successful no matter where they played your exactly right! -

So what are you saying here? Look I don't care either way, all I'm saying is, I think every public school system should offer the same standard on the education side, I think it should be required then surely kids wouldn't leave right??? 🙄 -

If it's about winning then Boyle County if it's about getting seen in the football field I'm not sure. Damien Harris and WanDale Robinson didn't have to leave their high schools to become Division 1 stars. Just saying. I get the point, I get the argument on both sides, if kids leave voluntarily I'm all for it. That's not the point I don't think. -

Heard both are essentially done deals, 2nd is signing completion papers today... What a blow for Garrard County athletics... I dont think their will be anything Garrard County can do about the transfer, with the new rules in place, all it takes is for a kid to have an address In Boyle County and they don't have to sit, they can get that anywhere, friend, family it doesn't matter. -

Best atmosphere in central Kentucky tonight. Hands down, if you found a louder place tonight I would love to know where it is, both sides back and forth, what a great game. -
If Clay has applied at all the jobs he’s been speculated in, the fact that he hasn’t been hired yet shocks me. He is a fantastic coach, and I hope Mercer hires him if he has applied. Would be a good get for both sides in my opinion.

I’m not familiar with the area, anybody have any ideas? Anybody on staff they may tap as the head coach?

For some reason I want to say Lincoln is 11,000?

Pretty sure they mentioned they had 42,000,000 at the board meeting I’m not sure where it came from but I think they do have it laying around😂. -
Josh Jaggers named head coach at Lincoln County.

The amount of excitement I have right now, I’m not sure I’ve been this excited about a coaching hire since John Calipari got hired at Kentucky. Extremely excited, and glad that Lincoln County pulled this off. Fantastic hire. -

Where? -
This has to be the oddest job search and hiring process I believe I’ve ever seen….
-
Not sure, until anything is official, who knows who it is, it’s been super quiet for sure.
-
David Buchanan left this program in great shape, ready to win, I’m sure their is a ton of interest it’s just been quiet.
-
I haven’t heard anything at all, been really quiet.

Hmmm I’m not sure then? Maybe a grant or funds they have saved? I’m not 100% sure how school systems do things, they may not be using Covid money for athletics per say, maybe using funds they have and then using Covid money to replace the pot and use for other things? Not sure. -

Some of it I think was Covid money, and I think they implemented a nickel tax, plus they will have bonding potential from paying the high school off, I believe if I understand this correctly.
