Lexington Catholic 48 Knox Central 44 (Kentucky 2A Classic)
I’d like to think it has grown and I went to the 2A website and couldn’t find anything about attendance. Would be cool to see it rotate between Owensboro, Freedom Hall, Morehead.

Lexington Catholic 48 Knox Central 44 (Kentucky 2A Classic)
Don’t have a exact number for ya. If I had to ballpark it I’d say 2000-3000 for the whole tournament for the first year. Seems like enough people attended for it to keep going.

Lexington Catholic 48 Knox Central 44 (Kentucky 2A Classic)
Didn’t go….been in the past though. I love that we have the All-A and the 2A Classic as mid season tournaments. Would like to see something for the large schools in the near future. P.S- This doesn’t mean I am for “classing” I believe we have the best post season set up that crowns ONE champion and the Sweet 16 might be the best set up in the country!

10th Region Tournament at Holmes?
A great listen and provides a lot of insight into this hot button topic. Great Job Coach Kelsch and Evan Dennison!

10th Region Tournament at Holmes?
Hosting at CCMS (the biggest gym in the 37th) isn’t good enough… Having it at a non-region site that is big enough to host and it still upsets the masses… Does the 37th need a top tier gym ASAP? YES! This solves all (and it looks like that could happen at Scott) But this indication that the 37th should just skip their turn is unfair. I hope for a great week of games at Holmes that are just as memorable as the past 10th Regional Tournaments have been.

Awesome pictures! Would be a nice place to watch a region once every 4 years!

10th Region Tournament at Holmes?
They still use the original scoreboards. They can’t do anything else with the floor since it has been sanded down so many times. They once had to wheel in speakers from the band to announce the game and they once had to cancel a game cause the main goal wouldn’t come down…and most recently one of the side goals wouldn’t go up so it hindered people’s views. visiting team locker room is way too small Scott gym needs major TLC

10th Region Tournament at Holmes?
And without know the EXACT numbers of every gym listed…I’d have to agree to disagree. I would have to think SK, Dixie, Campbell, and Scott is bigger than Robertson and Bracken. never been to Nicholas.

10th Region Tournament at Holmes?
If that’s the case…that’s a travesty. Scott MAIN Gym needs major TLC.

10th Region Tournament at Holmes?
It’s on the book to renovate the gym, build a practice gym, and build a new pool. If KCSD let’s Scott get all of their wish list…I’m sure it will be a viable option to host region.

10th Region Tournament at Holmes?
I understand where you are coming from and it will be a long bus ride for GRC. Just as it is for the 37th when its at GRC or MoCo. As previous people in this thread/Twitter have alluded to maybe GRC needs to join the 11th since it’s okay for teams in the 37th to move back to the 9th. I hope KCSD will let Scott do a lot with the renovation and when it comes around the 37th again we can choose between Scott or Campbell MS.

10th Region Tournament at Holmes?
So since we were the last to arrive we have to be “yes men” and follow all traditions before us? can we have new traditions?

10th Region Tournament at Holmes?
Huh? you’re still part of one of the best regions in the state. You just have to go to the COV for a week. I think everyone will live.

10th Region Tournament at Holmes?
The 10 Region “faithful/traditionalist” have treated the 37th like the red headed step child since they redrew regions…Schools not scheduling them cause they are “not a real 10th region team” or not voting for post season awards because “they are the outsiders” The 37th District has DOMINATED the 10th region for the past 10 years. The traditionalist of the 10th need to be just a tad more open minded and let it rotate between districts. Does the 37th need to build a first class gym ASAP?!…YES and I think it could happen at Scott with the new renovations. P.S- I think of COVID wasn’t such a factor it would be at Campbell MS/HS or Scott. You can be a little more spread out at Holmes and as to many have pointed out before HS Bball attendance has dwindled year after year.

BluegrassPreps.com 10th Region Boys Basketball Preview
Not a single word about the Scott Eagles and they are in the Top 5?! Lol Cam Patterson (SR) should average a double double and be a handful down low. A trio of Juniors Nolan Hunter, Dasani Lane, and Brayden Howell all averaged 7 PPG last year. Look for them to improve that stat line! Mitchel Minor is a true floor general and this team has a lot of pieces that can help them win games.

Kelsey Sorrell Memorial Scrimmages
A terrific slate of games for a great event!

Covington Holy Cross names Casey Sorrell boys head basketball coach.
Congrats Casey! He will build a strong staff and be competitive in arguably one of the toughest districts in the state!
-
Covington Catholic - 2021/22 Schedule
St. Anthony’s of the Midwest! Cov Cath will continue to get high level kids with the coaching staff they have, the experience and connections they can offer, and a yearly chance to get to Rupp. I think schools boycotting Cov Cath will help them play tougher competition throughout the state, regionally and nationally.

Open Job: Covington Holy Cross
Have to think the JV coach will get a good look. He has been there a while and has done a good job. Should be a long list of quality applicants!

Looks like a solid field of teams! Didn’t the Sparkman (AL) team play up here a few years back at Simon Kenton?
