What was the attendance like?

Didn’t go….been in the past though.

I love that we have the All-A and the 2A Classic as mid season tournaments. Would like to see something for the large schools in the near future.

P.S- This doesn’t mean I am for “classing” I believe we have the best post season set up that crowns ONE champion and the Sweet 16 might be the best set up in the country!

What kind of attendance was at the first one?

Don’t have a exact number for ya. If I had to ballpark it I’d say 2000-3000 for the whole tournament for the first year.

Seems like enough people attended for it to keep going.

I'm guessing if those numbers don't grow, it'll be in trouble.

I’d like to think it has grown and I went to the 2A website and couldn’t find anything about attendance.

Would be cool to see it rotate between  Owensboro, Freedom Hall, Morehead.

Freedom Hall won't happen, rent would be too expensive.  I doubt it will ever leave Western Ky. as that's where the promoters are from.  Might get Valley Gym in Louisville.

I believe for it to survive there will have to be more interest from schools and fans.

Looked up picture of Valley Gym…Looks nice!

and I loved going to games at Freedom Hall for the cards…a man can dream lol

It’s a “young” state tournament unlike the All- A right. So perhaps as more participants play, it might grow into a pretty good state tournament. I believe 32 teams participated, 4 teams in each section and winners made the elite 8 in Owensboro.

Yeah, been there for several Sweet Sixteens, Cards, Wildcats, HS All Stars, and even the Ky. Colonels.  Great memories.
