I respectfully disagree. And based on your earlier responses I figured you would agree. I am not saying the coaching staff does not know what they are doing. I am simply questioning how the best player on either team is not being utilized more often.

There has been multiple series on offense where he (Noon) has not even been on the field, much less touched the ball. You seen to know a lot about football, if you had a player as talented as Charlie Noon, would you let that happen? I'll hang up and listen.

Absurd, yes? Out of the norm? I honestly doubt it. The money boosters flow into their programs is wild. Also make me understand why recruits take every single possible official visit!

Which I don't believe we are giving enough credit to the UK defense for creating/contributing to. That is all I am saying.

Richardson did not play well. This fact was only made worse by media members making very unfair comparisons saying that he was the next Cam Newton, Tim Tebow, etc. However, let's not forget that UK's defense is very, very good. They have a top 2-3 LB core in the entire SEC. UK's defense deserves a lot of credit for making Richardson look as bad as he did.

The HHS team that I saw scrimmage Ryle 5 weeks ago has not shown back up... yet. I am hoping to see that team back this Friday. If that team doesn't show up and play more disciplined football than they have played the last couple of weeks, I do not see them leaving Union with a win.

Highlands (2-2) travels to Union to face the Ryle Raiders (3-1) this Friday. These two teams faced each other just a short time ago in a very physical and spirited scrimmage. This should be another great addition to what is becoming an NKY rivalry.

Pretty sure the McNicholas game last year was a 1-time thing and HHS needed another game and Raceland was the only team they could get on their schedule. I was told it was Raceland or no game. I would be surprised to see the matchup again.

Kind of off topic but it amazes me how much credit the national media gives the Bills for almost beating the Chiefs last year in the playoffs compared to what the Bengals get for beating the same team twice in a month and almost winning the Super Bowl.

Are there a lot of freshman for Beechwood playing varsity/JV this year or is the freshman class just abnormally small in numbers terms of football players?

I am currently in Northern Michigan. I really appreciate the updates, the streaming is iffy at best. I really expected HHS to take over in this game. Playing even with CC worries me.

Do their own accounts not come from the district funding?

The district and its pocket book is the only one benefiting. They shell out far less money for transportation by making each team stay in the city than they would otherwise have to the schools were allowed to schedule on their own.

If you have Hulu, you automatically get ESPN+ too. I use it for NKU games as well.

I do not have stats either. I agree that the special teams are seeing some improvement but it seems that each week there is always a special teams issue or questionable decision. I hope to see those ironed out because if the Birds continue to give up as many points as they have (even though a lot of those points were the result of offensive issues in Week1), they can't afford to give up yards/field position in special teams.

The 0-2 Birds travel to Claryville this Friday to face the 1-2 Camels. The Camels started the year off with a win over NCC and then ran into state titled contender Woodford Co. losing 43-13. The Birds are coming off their second strait loss of the season to Simon Kenton 42-40. Last year the Birds handled the Camels 42-7. Amen, Ted. I don't understand how special teams are still this bad 2 years in. It just doesn't add up; especially when you take into Coach Sphire's experience as a HC.

Love that you brought up Carson Class. He is underutilized. Kid has magnet hands and just makes plays.

Merz has a bright future. Really impressed with how well he moves for his size too. A lot of times young men that big at that age can hardly move. He has some bend to him and some flex in his hips.
