  1. Does Willie currently, or are there plans for him this coming year, to play defense at CCH?
  2. Either way, that is a biggun! Especially for a frosh.
  3. Looks like Stoops and Co. are really trying to get the BC pipeline on lockdown. Love to see it. I do not know a ton about Hager but 6'6 200 as a freshman TE could easily turn into a 6'6 300lb athletic OT in the near future.
  4. I am probably in the minority with this position, but I would love to see a KHSAA dead period that lasts the entire month of June.
  5. She did, yes. I am not sure exactly where; I was just told out of state. As to the latter question, I would say it all depends on who you ask and probably a combo of both.
  6. I was told that Coach Ponchak resigned today to take a college coaching position out of state. It will be interesting to see who applies/gets this job. A lot of soccer talent walking the streets of Ft. Thomas.
  7. Probably a lot of truth in all of that. Knock on wood but this should be a "normal" offseason for Burrow. I am not sure what the answer is regarding player reps in the preseason but I'll trust Taylor after the results he has been getting.
  8. I am interested to see how Zac Taylor handles the preseason this year. We all saw how the beginning of the season played out last year because the starters played little to no preseason snaps. I am hoping for a better start to the year but also understand wanting to keep your starters from getting hurt in meaningless games. It is a tricky balance.
  9. I figured as soon as Grover committed to UC over UK Willie would be getting an offer. Would love to see him in blue and white!
  10. Big fan of the 529s for this reason. We have grandparents who like to add to the 529s for special occasions and you can just send them a "giving link" and it is done. I researched a lot of different states to see which had the most consistent returns (you do not have to go to school in that state - I think some people think you have to do the state you live in). We ended up going with Arkansas by T. Rowe Price. Below is a link that ranks each state and some unaffiliated 529s and let's you compare them side by side that you might have helpful. https://www.forbes.com/advisor/student-loans/best-529-plans/
  11. I agree in principle. I just question how smart it is to try to do something yourself when you do not have the education/training/experience in a very specialized and detail oriented area that potentially could have enormous financial implications on your future. Up to this point, Lamar's decision to act on his own behalf could cost him more than it would have to pay an agent. Now would also be a great time for an agent to be calling any and all teams trying to put together an offer sheet that would force the Raven's hand in offering or not offering. Eh, to each their own, I guess.
  12. Out of curiosity, why do you find it commendable and understand Lamar wanting to represent himself?
  13. I see the following headline about a year from now haha - "Irv Smith Jr. signs multi-year deal with X team; personally thanks Joe Burrow".
  14. Certainly fixes/overlooks a lot, doesn't it? Do you think he contributes that much to wins? If we take off-field incidents out of the equation, I don't see his on field play worth the cap hit. But, again, just hoping/trusting Taylor knows what he is doing.
  15. With the people who are running things now? I can't think of a single time we have seen this. Again, I do not agree with his decisions and do not think he is worth the cap hit but I am inclined to allow Taylor and Co. to do their thing. They have earned that.
  16. I disagree with a lot of Mixon's decisions and the positions he keeps putting himself in. However, Zac Taylor, the Bengals front office, and his teammates, clearly see something from the team captain "bum" that outsiders do not. Based on recent history I am going to trust Taylor and the front office's decisions.
  17. The way I see it as long as you are insuring that you are getting the nutrients that you would traditionally be getting from meat from plants/nuts, I don't really see drawbacks besides possibly the sheer amount you might have to eat to meet the nutrient requirements you need to feel good.
  18. This! More than concerning myself with meat vs plants (which I honestly feel is more of a personal preference than anything - both have benefits and drawbacks so do what makes you feel better), I have really started to cut out foods with hormones pumped into them and cut as much processed food as possible. Doing so has really helped with my blood labs and just overall feeling more energetic and clear headed.
  19. Great hire IMO. Jay is an impressive young coach that has been successful everywhere he has been. If you get a chance to talk with Jay you will immediately be impressed with his balance of intense/motivational attitude and his extreme attention to detail. I would not be surprised at all if Beechwood has another 15+ year run with the same coach. Not saying Beechwood needs improvement in the area, but you can expect to see Beechwood squads that are in incredible physical condition going forward. Jay runs a very impressive strength and conditioning program. Really good "get" for NKY football.
  20. Fort Thomas Schools do take tuition students. $3,500 for in-state and shy of $7,000 for out of state. There is an admittance process but I have no idea how/what the process is for a student to get accepted vs how a student gets denied.
  21. Makes perfect sense to me. I was just getting to the point that it might not be as easy/simple as hiring a head coach and keeping everyone else in place and happy.
  22. Playing Devil's Advocate here, but is is actually realistic that the OC or DC will stay in place? I know both men are highly respected in the Beechwood program and community, however, let's say, for argument's sake, that Eviston is hired as the new HC. Is Eddie going to let Greg call the offense (I am acting under the impression that he called the offense under Coach Rash)? Is Greg going to be ok losing that responsibility? Same scenario if a defensive minded HC is hired. Again, I don't know, but jus throwing the idea out there.
  23. I have spoken to 3 of the 4 who had to step away and you were spot on with why. Nothing more, nothing less. Anyone saying the contrary is attempting to stir a pot that is empty.
  24. For sure. If it isn't broke, don't fix it; right? I figured they may want to have a coach in place if they did traditionally do something.
