Both teams are good. Game last season was closer than the score indicated. Both teams returned a lot of pieces as well. Big difference is this year Julian Miles is playing for South Oldham whereas last year he sat out. He’s a tremendous basketball player but he’s quietly putting together a great year on the gridiron. Every game he has played in for SO has been a win and he’s averaging 12.7 yards a carry on 9 rushes per game. South Oldham is gonna South Oldham they’re happy with 3 yards and a cloud of dust but with Miles you have big play potential everytime he touches the ball. I like the Dragons to win 31-28.

Agreed on the depth. I like what Coach Sams is building at South Oldham. He’s got the numbers up and from what I’ve heard there are some very talented players in the middle school coming up.

Per his twitter. Rice is committed to Louisville. Obviously pending KHSAA clearance. Could make help them make some noise in 4A.

Anderson county is definitely improved this year and I think their play style holds up well against South Oldham. I think this could be a game for the first 3Q but ultimately SO gets it done.

Good win for South Oldham without their top offensive lineman in D1 prospect Matthew Wells. Oldham County played them really tough and you can always count on the rivalry games being fun.

Brady Atwell is exceptional. Not sure there’s another athlete in the state not named Quisenberry that has a bigger impact on his team.

To have as much success as South Oldham did running the ball without their star OL Matthew Wells was incredible to me. South Oldham showed their recipe to win and if executed it could beat a lot of teams. Run the ball. Play physical defense. Control the clock.

I do know the Dragons are nursing a few injuries that could impact the outcome of the game. Regardless it should be fun night.

A fifth grader making those comments is insane to me. I don’t remember too much about 5th grade but I remember recess being the only thing I really cared about. This generation has a massive mental health issue. And I think it stems from technology and social media.

Sorry I must’ve missed but when is the game time for this? Would love to see Boyle County show out for the state.
