I thought O would be 2 since we lost the head to head or would they just decide by RPI?

I'd be kinda thrown off if North scores 35 point unless 14-21 were on the JV. Apollo & OC both have better offenses than North and neither scored more than 21. I believe the Devils defense has gone under the radar since the CAL game.

You can’t compare the 2 teams. 2020 BG beats St.X, Cov Cath and South Warren and went 10-2. BG is way more down this year than that year.

I can see this kind of going like the GW game if Graves really comes to play. But Graves doesn’t have the scoring power GW does. If BG scores more than 10 points they win. With Barber back that’s a lot to ask for from a young Graves team.. BG won’t be tested until round 3.

2,3 and 4 seed in district 1 are all pretty much interchangeable not much of a gap if any between the 3. Most tightly contested district of the teams that are going to the playoffs. I like Graves defense to keep them in pretty much any game in 5A coming out of the west (besides O).

That’s a big drop for MNH and big come up for Apollo.

With the defense BG has I won’t count them out but this definitely isn’t your typical BG team we’re used to seeing since the early 2010’s. No slight to Greenwood but after this past week it wouldn’t surprise me to see BG out in the 2nd or 3rd round. At the same time the culture in BG is strong, I also wouldn’t be surprised to see them in State Championship. BG is a wild card this season anything can happen… As a Red Devil I’d love to be the team to send them home to reignite the rivalry.

MNH is physical and Hightower is a stud but they are too unbalanced on offense to keep pace with Owensboro’s offensive. Red Devils secondary isn’t a group you want to lob passes against which the Maroons did against Apollo and paid for it. I imagine the same would happen against the Red Devils. I expect Hightower to break a few long runs but O should have him in check for the most part. Apollos wide out made a living against MNH on the hitch and WR screens. Owensboro WRs are much better than Apollo’s. Dillard, Morris, Bryant and Burk could have a field day. Hampton is going to be Hampton at RB, give him space and you’ll lose the race. If O comes ready to play this game shouldn’t be close. O-49 MNH- 21

Ima stick with my fan bias from the Apollo and Graves thread. I believe the Red Devils can get the clock running on MNH if the Apollo and Graves games are any indicators to how the game is going to go.

Right, if he played that’s a pretty concerning for the Purples unless GW just has a special squad this year.

Did Barber play? Was he not getting targeted? I don’t see how GW holds BG to 17.
