That’s a big drop for MNH and big come up for Apollo.

MNH went from playing for a 50-50 chance at a 1 seed to a clear underdog this Friday and almost certain 3 seed after last week.

For Apollo, I said earlier this year that they were going to upset someone this season.  Turns out that was Madisonville.  Looking at their schedules, I think an argument can be made that Apollo is the second best team Madisonville has played.  And an argument can be made that Madisonville is the 5th best team Apollo has played.  Schedules matter.

I agree Purple. I was looking at Apollo's schedule. Their 4 losses total record was Murray (8-0), Heritage Hills (8-1), Owensboro Catholic (7-1), Owensboro (6-2). 29-4. WOW.

What do you make of the barely beating Graves at home?  Besides Owensboro being the clear front runner in D1 the Graves, Madisonville, and Apollo games have all been extremely close games.  Graves is a couple plays away from being the #2 seed in that district.

It’s officially a 7 team race. The ordering 1-7 can be debated 300 different ways, but we have the 7.

2,3 and 4 seed in district 1 are all pretty much interchangeable not much of a gap if any between the 3. Most tightly contested district of the teams that are going to the playoffs. I like Graves defense to keep them in pretty much any game in 5A coming out of the west (besides O).

Anything can happen.  BG hasn't played at what I'd like to consider a typical BG level this season.  They have had alot of injuries just like Graves.

I expect it to be a hard-fought game and a close game.  I'm just thankful it's at BG.

I can see this kind of going like the GW game if Graves really comes to play. But Graves doesn’t have the scoring power GW does. If BG scores more than 10 points they win. With Barber back that’s a lot to ask for from a young Graves team.. BG won’t be tested until round 3.

Wonderful!
