Wofo defense is having a better showing than expected.

This game, is the one I’ve been looking forward to all week. 2 of 5A’s consistent powerhouses face off with big RPI implications on the line. We’re getting an early playoff look with this one. I expect a close game full of highlights. Wouldn’t be shocked if either team won but I would be shocked if either team were to win by more than 2 scores.

I don’t know BG's path. Not good at the RPI at all but I think as long as they can avoid WOFO, SC I think they can make it. I don’t think Atherton is as tough as they were last year. They still have the athletes to challenge anyone in 5A.

I just hope we get BG along the way.

MNH runs a similar offense to O. Quick passes to their athletes and let them work from there. But I agree they aren’t world beaters that’s why I’m surprised they blew Apollo out of the water like they did. I had a feeling MNH would win but not by running clock fashion. Definitely can’t take MNH lightly.

Sandidge picked up right where Hightower left off. The kid can ball. Apollo had no answer for him with Max Johnson out. Who would’ve thought Apollo would be 4th in the district with a chance of not making the playoffs this season.

I expect the top 4 to be 1) Pulaski - Most likely wins out and stays #1 2) West Jessamine - Looking like they win out and cement themselves at the #2 spot. 3) Owensboro - If they take care of business should beat MNH and 6A Henderson 4) Scott County - Woodford game is a toss up. I'd say SC pulls it off this year. 4A Highlands will probably be too much for them preventing the jump to 3rd. Question: If SC were to beat both Wofo and Highlands, they finish #3 and get O at home in the semi's right? *Assuming both teams are still in it.

Can't really say that. Apollo didn't have much of a defense last year either.

Apollos defense has been and continues to be their Achilles heel.

If Graves hold Apollo to 14 that'll be a great defense of showing because only 1 team has held Apollo to less than 21 this season. They've both played tough schedules preparing each other for this match up. This is one of the better match ups this week in western KY.

Apollo will be able to throw in this one. Graves doesn't have the pass rush Owensboro has. Apollo is pretty balanced offensively with a tough rushing attack. They will be extremely tough for Graves to slow down. Graves might be able to score a few on Apollo but I doubt they'll be able to keep pace. Apollo wins this by a few scores. Eagles 42 Eagles 21

Looking like Owensboro and Pulaski most likely win out the rest regular season. Giving themselves home field advantage all the way to the Finals unless SC can beats Highlands.

5A is still a 5-6 team race. Pulaski is definitely looking like the favorite at the moment.

I agree with this 100%. It's apart of their identity. Takes the life out of the other team.

That's just O's style. Let the kids have some fun. Let them celebrate their success as long as it's not taunting the other team. Ref threw a flag last night because Dillard did the hush finger 🤫 after he scored. Come on now... I do agree if the refs are showing zero tolerance we need to adjust and just play the next play. Don't need those types of flags in a close game.

@TimeWillTell how did you feel about the defense last night? One of O's better performances of the year imo. The offense is kind of hard to tell. Biggs stepped up in a big way dropping bombs on Apollo all night. But I'm still hesitant on our offense because Apollo has let up so many points all season. Even while banged up the Devils have maintained a running clock separation of the better teams in the district so far. Which is good news as we don't have to rush Gway back to the field too early.

O has to keep up with the intensity. The Eagles can score in a hurry if you give them just a little breathing room.

As much as I would love to have Gway in right now. Biggs is getting some very meaningful reps and gaining confidence. He's having a heck of a game. But I'm most surprised by the defense. If you would've told me that the Devils would shut out the Eagles in the first half I wouldn't have believed it. Max Johnson is seeing a pass rush that he's yet to see all season.
