I think this is a perfect example of why you can't schedule a powerhouse schedule. Take the case of BG all the way down at 22 and we all know they are better than that. They scheduled a powerhouse schedule hoping to boost their RPI but as you can clearly see losses don't help your RPI. It's ok to schedule a couple teams but in the end you have to have the majority of your games as teams you might have a chance to beat.

I agree, RPI rewards mediocrity and punishes schools trying to improve.

Looking like Owensboro and Pulaski most likely win out the rest regular season. Giving themselves home field advantage all the way to the Finals unless SC can beats Highlands.

If it plays out it looks like Atherton at Pulaski and Scorr Co/Wofo at Owensboro in semis. Scott County and Wofo round 3again because Pulaski has locked #1 in east.

Owensboro vs North Hopkins is going to be huge as well as Scott County vs Wofo and vs Highlands.

Are they though? This is one of the most pedestrian BG teams I can remember.

You can't be serious right? The struggled to beat Barren County, they lost to a substandard St. X team, got beat by a very good Scott County, they got beat by South Warren. Wasn't it Bill Parcells that said, "you are what your record says you are!" I know it's hard, but it's been a couple of lean years for BG faithful.

I expect the top 4 to be

1) Pulaski - Most likely wins out and stays #1

2) West Jessamine - Looking like they win out and cement themselves at the #2 spot.

3) Owensboro - If they take care of business should beat MNH and 6A Henderson

4) Scott County - Woodford game is a toss up. I'd say SC pulls it off this year. 4A Highlands will probably be too much for them preventing the jump to 3rd.

Question: If SC were to beat both Wofo and Highlands, they finish #3 and get O at home in the semi's right? *Assuming both teams are still in it.

Look who's ahead of them I will give the first 6 are probably better then BG but 7-14 BG would beat but because they played such a tough schedule they've assured themselves of a road game in the third round. Plus when I posted that they were even worse at number 21. Guys this BG team is still good they just ain't BG good. Y'all act like they are one of the worst teams in 5A.

3 hours ago, TheBarber said:

Probably not. I'd guess they are better than two or three above them, like Barren who they've already beat, but beyond that I think they are right where they should be in the 11-15 area. If we're honest about it, this is simply just not a very good football team right now.

BG could end up in semis against Owensboro. Right now if they win round 1 and 2 vs Apollo and Madisonville in round 2 they will come to Rash to play the devils.

Also round 3 in the east is looking like Wofo or Scott County at Pulaski - wow. Nice round 3 matchup.
