Final.

Graves had opportunities late in the game to tie it up, but shot themselves in the foot repeatedly with holding fouls and ultimately threw their chances away.

This is the first 1-6 start to a season for Graves County since 2003, tied for the second worst start only behind the 1997 squad, who lost their first 7 games and were 1-7through their first 8 games.

Nice win for Apollo!  Probably puts them going to Greenwood if I had to guess right now for Round 1.

I think that's a pickem game!

Two evenly matched teams, Graves defense played well enough to give them a chance to steal this game, but, they lack speed and athleticism on the offensive side to offer much of a scoring threat. Apollo has some offensive weapons and capable of hanging around most teams they play, but, tends to struggle in crunch time against the better competition. This was a much needed confidence builder for them. Hopefully they can build on this game and continue to improve.

Did something happen to Max Johnson? The a radio guys at 102.7 said JT Edge threw a TD pass? I hope Max is ok?

I don’t believe MNH is that good. If Apollo scores more than 21 or keeps it close. The fan/bias in me says we potentially running clock them. Until they play Apollo I’ll just say O wins that game by 3 touchdowns.

You are mistaken if you don’t think Madisonville is a really good team. You aren’t going to go into Madisonville & running clock them.

Maybe they are good but outside of PT they’ve had a really soft schedule. That Graves game at home for the Maroons was really telling. You stop the run you stop the Maroons. They seem pretty one dimensional.
