Embarrassment of riches at WR this year. Class, Matteoli, Hinegardener, Surrey, McCarter. When it gets going fully it’s going to be really fun to watch.

First off, my takes are dimwitted at best. But thank you. Second off I really just meant if I’m coaching the Highlands freshman team and Lorenzen’s son is on there and wants to play QB, I’m not going to be the bad guy in the movie they make 20 years later, you know.

This Highlands WR group is really good. I just didn’t see many WRs make big plays. Saw dudes quit on routes a couple times too.

I got to say. Not starting Lorenzen at QB you are really sticking your neck out to look like a legendary fool 20 years from now.

A lot of kids everywhere are deciding not to play randomly these days. They should re think it. Football window of time is incredibly short.

They mixed in Rio with the ones. He threw a pick six….But then had a brilliant scramble and throw and had a great drive. QB position looks really good going forward. Benke and Rio mixing it up would be nightmarish for defenses. Completely different styles and both effective running and passing. Lorenzen came in and looked exactly like his dad did in high school and tossed a TD. QB position is good for the next 4 years.

How many teams are better than Male in the state though right?

Better for sure. Oline surprised me in a good way.

Male looked sloppy. Benke is going to give big problems to the rest of NKY. Highlands 1st string wide receivers left a lot to be desired. Highlands run game is ready.

Jared could have been a solid D1 Linebacker.

Is there something I don’t know about Highlands this year?

I’ve been saying it forever. The Highlands Band needs a kid to play bagpipes. It would be awesome.

QB is very interesting for the Birds. You got Benke, Bottom, Haas, Litmer. Pretty wild race. Pretty sure they each could play well at other positions after the starter is decided. Benke could be a monster TE. I still think he’s the best option at QB though.

Thought I was the only Clemson fan on here. But for real Clemson has no business being in the playoffs this year.

If USC loses to Utah …OSU is in and watch out. They got their loss out of the way and have nothing to lose.

Yeah I forgot they one that first one. You got me there. But in my head over the past 10 years OSU is not a peer of Alabama. Neither is Clemson. I get the overall sentiment that both have been in the playoffs a bunch. But something something SEC….

I’m excited to see what TCU can do in the playoffs! I’ve adopted them as my playoff team this year. Also, Ohio State could still get in there if TCU and or USC lose. ?

Haha Alabama is a surprise. Ohio State is not. Settle down on bowing down to the Buckeyes people. They’ve mostly been embarrassed in the playoffs. And no titles since playoffs started and only one very embarrassing appearance in the final. The media oversells them I get it but come on.

The way it works is you catch the ball while making the catch your feet land on the ground and then you end up falling in the end zone from the 5 yard line in… that is not a safety. The differences in this case was the Scott County guy caught the ball within the 5 yard line landed on his feet and then ran around making multiple football moves into the end zone and got tackled. He rolled the dice and got busted or didn’t know the rule. I guess it was lucky for Highliands? They got two points but a drive was killed by the pick. Almost a wash to Highlands.

Meh, they were pretty evenly matched. 29-23 is no blowout. Both teams left drives in garbage can. Plus Highlands had way more turnovers and only lose by a TD is relatively even. Scott was the better team but they don’t win 9/10 matchups by any means. They run a really tough scheme. Noon basically was not used last night which left me scratching my head.

I’m pulling for SC here out. Hope they beat Douglass.

What surprised me was how tough the SC defense was. Scott Co runs that offense really well. Score really should have been worse.
