You can get a mortgage without credit. Any community bank will underwrite you without credit. A strong personal balance sheet with a lot of liquidity and little to no debt > somebody with a good credit score leveraged to their eyeballs

5. 1) Parents moved when I was going into 4th grade. We originally moved into a townhouse until we found a house. 2) Into that house from the townhouse. 3) After college moved to Louisville and lived in an apartment by myself. 4) After one year that lease was up and moved into a condo with a roommate. 5) After a year and a half there I moved back into an apartment by myself. My current lease is up in July and plan on getting a place with a few buddies again so that will make 6. Hopefully after a couple years of that I will know where I want to be long term and can buy a starter home wherever that may be. Moving each year is somewhat annoying but not so bad since I am single and do not have much stuff.

The people calling for his advice have no discipline and have shown they aren't responsible. His plan for them to get out of debt is being miserable to save money and get themselves out of debt. Using credit definitely isn't negative if you manage it well, but most people don't. IMO Dave Ramsey has to be over the top because those people can't manage credit. The only way for them to dig themselves out of a hole is the extreme measure he lays out.

I think you’re spot on. It’s nice to have people at the track and such but TwinSpires and TVG have made it so easy to go gamble and watch at all times. Hell even when I’m at the track I’ll occasionally still just bet through the apps rather than wading through the crowd to place a bet at the window.

I’m a “young person” and although it’s a tough break the DQ was definitely warranted. As previously mentioned in this thread if this would have happened in any random race that happened yesterday it would have been an easy DQ. Inquiries happen all the time and most are less obvious than this one.

As much as you may hate it I see it as them perfecting their craft. Is it what you want to teach young players? No. 99.9% of them won’t play college or sniff the pros. But don’t you take advantage of what you can to better yourself in your profession?

Duke still has some holes to fill next year but getting one of the best PG’s in the country back certainly helps.

That’s what I was thinking too. Someone today was trying to say otherwise. It seems articles about it go both ways by saying perfect bracket through the first weekend with others saying correctly picking the Sweet 16 field. Either way I will not be winning lol.

Only filled out one bracket and have all Sweet 16 teams. Too bad I don’t work for one of Berkshire Hathaway’s companies.

I think Duke most likely locked up a 1 seed unless they somehow get blown out by FSU tomorrow. They only have one loss at full strength and that’s to Gonzaga early in Maui.
