I admit i don't follow girls basketball that much, but there was a young lady in the building that averaged over 30 points and over 17 rebs a game. I don't care who you playing against....those are outstanding numbers.

Still my favorite....I just don't see those guys folding at Rupp. Too much experience and too many dogs on that roster.

To further add to the great write up from Sportslover32... JH as a whole is very long. Their defense will switch everything...and they will contest everything near the basket. Offensively they rely alot on Pearson, not because they have to, but more because Mickey can flat out score.....which makes them dangerous because other teams key on Pearson alot. If he wasn't on the team, you'd hear alot more about Wright and the sophomore Matthews. I don't think the game will be a blowout just because it's so difficult to shoot in Rupp. But I do think the Dawgs come out on top.

They didn't have a strong JV this year....they'll play 8, but there is very little drop off if any from 5-8. If you think about it, most teams only play 7 to 8 players. JH just made the decision to only dress 9.

I see I need to be clearer....I don't know who will win or care who wins...but none of the players YOU mentioned presents the challenges that Tandy does.

None of the players above other Kunkle have the same skill set as Tandy.....he presents a unique set of problems.

They played the schedule that put in front of them....who would you want them to play....they beat most teams in the region except for Adair, and if you were in attendance you'd know why they lost that game. It's ridiculous for you to come on this thread and attempt to minimize the accomplishments of those kids...they won the region....congrats to them

I'm hearing that Jtown might have gotten a raw deal in this one. FC's problem is a go to scorer. @coachlee already stated this earlier this year, but the loss of Chance Moore might have affected this team more than initially thought. They are gonna defend you for the entire game and if you don't have the guard play to deal with their pressure you're toast.

This might have been one of the best games of the tournament thus far. These two teams met in December and JH won by 20. Everyone in JH camp knew that this would be a different game and a different team. It was a close low scoring game for the most part, neither team could really find an offensive rhythm.....typical playoff basketball at this time. Larue County was able to beat JH on the boards and their inside play was essentially their offense. Goode plays well inside and Larue county makes it a point to get him the ball. I think Shane King is the key to their team however, and he just couldn't get it going. John Hardin struggled on offense most of the night as well...you could see the playoff atmosphere was a little much for some of the Dogs. Mickey was aggressive all night and his play no doubt led his team to victory. Larue County scored with about 15 seconds left in the game to take a one point lead, but Mickey got the inbound pass and drove the lane and dumped it off to Scott to give JH the lead to essentially win the game. It was a grind it out game and the kids from Larue left it all on the floor, most of them will return next year. But this night belonged to JH. They were able to get it done and they deserved to win the game. Pearson finished with 20 pts and 8 rebs and 3 blocks. If there was a tournament MVP (which I don't know why there isn't), he would surely be that. Kid played the entire tournament with flu symptoms and never once complained about it. Just like all the stars on most of the teams in KY, he gets the box and one, double teams, amoeba defenses and so on and so on. I would say; maybe with some bias that he might be the most difficult person to officiate in the state. The response he gets from officials is "you're 6'8 deal with it"...he plays on. Last night he became a region champ....I know personally it was a personal goal of his. He's never gonna get the credit he deserves statewide, because he doesn't play in one of the major news areas. But he is one of the best players in our state and Congrats to him, Coach McCurry and the entire Bulldog nation....#statebound

Recognition isn't the issue moving forward...kid has no help coming back....teams are just gonna take him out of the game with double and triple teams

Kid is extremely talented. Special player.....but I'd be shocked if he comes back to AC. He was visibly frustrated by the lack of support/talent on the floor with him last night. Unless more transfers come in, I think he's scored his last points for the Indians.

Yea, they won't come out and admit it. But I also knew that LCA could play and match up with Scott Co. They match up well with what Scott likes to do; and more than that they are familiar with each other. Good job for both teams....I'd say LCA is one of the top 5 teams in the state at this point.

Agreed....he just couldn't buy one tonight....had some good looks though. Payne probably knocks some down as well if healthy.

They needed to get easier shots for Harmon...seemed like there wasn't much flow to the offense

Tougher game than expected I think for JH. Campbellsville played really hard. Pearson led the dogs with 29 pts and 14 rebs, at least 4 blocks....big time game for the senior. Jachai Walker with 17 pts and 8 assists, controlled the tempo all game. On to face those giants from Larue County....should be a good game.

This is how Breeze is gonna play out the season...box and 1 the other teams best player...hold, grab, and foul the other teams best player....what happened to Jacob was exactly the same thing that he did to Pearson earlier this year. And if you don't have an experienced crew, they'll get away with it.

It is one of my greatest joys in life watching my son play. I do know that our time will soon come however. Congrats to you and Baby J on a great season....more than that, I know you have raised a wonderful little boy into a wonderful young man.

I just don't think high school coaches in Ky know how or want to use the big guy on the offensive end. Most of our teams don't go from inside out. Teams still need size but it's more so on the defensive end with contesting shots and rebounding. Very few use the big guy as the first offensive option.....you can see that at the college and pro level also. Couple that with the officiating makes post play and the big guy on offense irrelevant when it comes to scoring.
