  1. This is fine for youth leagues and the minors but you'll never see it in the big leagues.
  2. This team showed tonight that when they get contributions from other guys they can play with anyone. Knox had an off night and Diallo stepped up and showed the athleticism that the NBA scouts like in him. Gabriel rebounded like he should against a smaller team that doesn't push him around. I just wish they would get a little bit more out of Richards because at some point they'll play a team that will be big and tough inside and Gabriel can't play that physical game. They really need Vanderbilt to be available to win it all but I honestly believe now that that is possible with a perfect game. The perfect game means playing like they did last night but getting the 50/50 balls which they aren't good at and taking care of the basketball. They go to sleep and throw it away on occasion and in a close game turnovers will kill them. If this team can focus on their shortcomings and play with hustle and desire they can go all the way to San Antonio on April 2nd but it will take a total team effort.
  3. That would be a concern if they started the season next month, not in mid March.
  4. Richest in Astros club history. Jose Altuve 5-year extension with Astros | MLB.com
  5. As much as I agree on Bengals bad moves I think it was Cleveland that screwed that deal up.
  6. This is all well and good if he can stay on the field. He only played 6 games last year and missed 5 games in 2016. Hopefully the surgery corrected his ankle issues.
  7. Quade Green will need to have that game that Cal predicted for him today as they will be all over Gabriel from the tip.
  8. Teams like Memphis with that bad of offense don't make the big dance either.
  9. I don't think he has the time with his other duties and I'm sure he's been approached.
  10. You're predictable crushing UK in a Duke/NC thread.:idunno:
  11. In the early rounds yes, sweet 16 not so much.
  12. I have no idea. Maybe they think he can be resurrected from his Washington days? Maybe they like him because he has history with his 2 years of probation while at Penn State for assault and he fits right in? Who knows what they think.
  13. Did I say he was, did I sound all excited? I was merely adding this to the thread.
  14. Bengals sigh DL Chris Baker to a 1 yr deal. Report: Chris Baker to sign one year deal with Bengals
  15. He's at high A Daytona, 23 years old. He still hasn't proven he can hit in the minors but is high on their prospects list. He hit .300 for his career at Clemson so maybe there's still time for him. I don't think catcher is a high priority anymore with Barnhart doing a great job and hitting for a decent average. They will have to make a decision soon on Mesoraco as this is his last year under contract @ $13.125m. He's a FA next year and I can't see them resigning him for anything near that.
  16. Turner 0 for 14 so far. What are the Reds going to do with Turner? Can they send him to AAA without the possibility of losing him?
  17. Did you get a new job scouting for the Bengals? I just don't get your fascination with trying to help them as a supposedly devout Steelers fan.
  18. Cue the Andre Smith combine video. Andre Smith's pro day 4
  19. You're right and I also saw that before posting but imo he is Malik Monk without a shot. You see what Monk is doing and he was the 11th pick overall. He's buried on the Charlotte hornets bench averaging 11 minutes a game and may be out of the league after next year, albeit a richer man but with no certainty for the future. I don't see Diallo being better than Monk do you?
