  1. Votto has 53 AB's with RISP and is batting .358.
  2. CCH hasn't had a D1 baseball player since '09, Maile (UK) and Isler (UC). In that time, I'm sure I will miss some, the following schools have had D1 players; Highlands, Beechwood, Ryle, Boone, and Conner. I know that shouldn't define overall talent but to say that CCH has the most talented roster each and every year is just not so. Baseball is toughest regional championship to win, IMO. Single elimination baseball is a crazy and anything can happen and like stated above, he gets to the tournament every year.
  3. This is an amazing stat/accomplishment! As for the GOAT of CCH athletics, he is definitely one of very few in the conversation, Tim Grogan has to be in the conversation. QB of the football team that made it to the semi's of the AAA state tournament and starting SS of the 40-3 2002 baseball state championship team.
  4. The winning percentage for a team not making a 3 pointer in a game can't be good. Very impressive to win a game in 2018 without hitting a 3.
  5. Good win against a good team and if anyone forgot, Steph Curry went to Davidson.
  6. Just going on recent memory, '06 Beechwood and '09 CCH were both very talented. One team went to the state title and the other didn't make it out of region.
  7. The Reds are all at Spring Training and there are a couple of story lines to keep an eye on: Senzel is working out at SS. I wonder if this is more of a fast track to the majors with Cozart gone and Suarez playing third. Votto saying he wants things to change quickly, you can't blame him. I believe his game ages really well and he should have 4-5 more good seasons in him. The starting rotation. Will they be healthy? Will guys like Garrett and Mahle remain viable options? Will Stephenson build on the end of his year? Will Homer get it back? All questions that will be storylines all year. Lastly, how much of an impact will Barry Larkin have on the team? He is currently helping Senzel out at short and seems to be more involved than ever. Is he the manager in waiting, I believe so. But, I believe there is no need to have him manage a team that at there absolute best will win 80 games, again there absolute best. I know they won't compete for championship of any kind but this year should be a good indication of the years to come. Go Legs
  8. Shane Lechler is still active and also a member of the 2000 draft class.
  9. Rap never connected with stoolies. He always talked down to all the other employees and stoolies, other than Dan and Dave, and just didn't get it. Kmarko put on a show on twitter, he his the silent assassin. His podcast has gone from a 4.5 rating to a 1 rating, don't mess with stoolies.
  10. I watched, along with RnR 1. It was very entertaining and the knockout, in either the 3rd or 4th fight, was one the best knockouts I've ever seen.
  11. Another point, Vanderbilt brings a lot of energy and plays with great effort but his inability to put the ball in the basket can be frustrating. He shoots a hook like he's playing beer pong. I know this sounds critical but I believe with his effort and an added scoring effort this team can be one of the best teams in the country. I like my team, always had.
  12. Yes, it looks like it's being said that he has a knee contusion. I like Washington and believe he can help this team win, just like the Miss. St. game. I hope he comes back healthy.
  13. According to KSR, he is done playing football.
  14. Also, great game by Bolden. I thought he forced a little towards the end but their half court offense just couldn't do it tonight. He made some big shots and I can't wait to watch the rest of his career.
  15. Best regular season win for Cal since he's been at UK? Unreal effort in the 2nd half. Interesting that Washington didn't play the last 10 mins. I like my team.
  16. Boogie's stat line from last night: 44 points 24 rebounds 10 assists 4 steals.
  17. Being undefeated doesn't mean they are the best team "ever". The 2006 team played a tougher schedule, Elder (lost by one possession), St. X OH (two possessions), Bishop Waterson (blow out), and a lot better Highlands team. They also scrimmaged Trinity that year and beat them, I know that means nothing. This team is really good and they have some top end talent but to say they are the best is semantics. This team is very good and I hope they finish it off, but the 6 class system waters it down, it is what is. Go Colonels
  18. He hasn't developed one player. The players that are highlighted were studs coming out of college. Around the league you see many teams playing with multiple late round picks, but the Bengals have spent many high picks on the line and it hasn't panned out. There is one constant and it's Paul Alexander. This years line is not a power line but more of an athletic line that can move, yet all the scheme is still still straight line power run and drop back pass. Adjustments haven't been made with personnel and that's on Alexander.
  19. Per JJ Cooper, Managing Editor for Baseball America, If Votto struck out in in every one of his next 1,500 PAs, he'd still have a higher career OBP than Tony Perez.
  20. It's unbelievable that Lebron is an underdog (in Vegas) again in the finals. He has been the betting underdog in 6 of his 8 finals appearances. The only two that he has been favored in is 2011 vs the Mavericks and 2013 vs the Spurs.
  21. The night cap should be a dandy. I like Conner if they are able to push a few runs across, Craddock is tough.
  22. George or Butler don't help the Celtics beat Lebron. They should take Fultz and look to move Thomas. Although he's had a good year, he is such a liability on defense and can't be the best player on a championship team. He will be wanting the max, which will be around 200 million, and he's not worth that.
  23. Saving Private Ryan - Tom Hanks' character is a high school teacher and baseball coach. Band of Brothers (idk if this fits the category)- They are playing baseball in the final scene when they find out they are all going home.
