Stat Info
Coaches have to (are supposed to) report their scores to Arbiter by midnight the night of the game. Then a lot of teams use MaxPreps to report the stats for the game.

Beechwood vs. Simon Kenton Prediction/Updates
It seemed more like because a Ryle fan gave their opinion and said an easy W for Beechwood, you took the offensive to attack Ryle, again. There is a pattern. Don't get upset. Everything will be okay.

Beechwood vs. Simon Kenton Prediction/Updates
Why even bring up Ryle in this thread? I don't know why they live in your head, but I think it's time to move on.

High School Football - 2 Head Coaches Fired!
Got you. And definitely correct on the WR coach at Morehead.

High School Football - 2 Head Coaches Fired!
It states in the article that the coach's name is Ed Hodgkiss. Could be a misprint but my guess is it is 2 different people.

Ryle vs. Cooper Predictions/Updates
Chance of rain is increasing as the week goes on. Might cause some issues with ball security and the passing game.

I am aware, I made the voter names public lol

Labor Day Football Practice
If it's an off week, I would say 100% give your kids a day off. If not, you really need to look into your opponent and your confidence level, and also the health of the kids at that point. Even then I would say a light practice or conditioning.

Ryle vs. Cooper Predictions/Updates
If only we knew who that "1" was? Lol I'll give you all the credit should Cooper pull it out. I'll admit it is a rivalry game and Cooper is coming off 2 tough losses, so it's not completely out of the ballpark, but it's going to be tough.

Ryle vs. Cooper Predictions/Updates
How has Ryle hurt you in the past ? I get it this is a rivalry game and anything can happen, but you do seem to have a special kind of dislike for the Raiders.

Ryle vs. Cooper Predictions/Updates
Cooper (0-2) travels across town to face Ryle (2-0) for the annual rivalry game. Start time is 7:00 PM Cooper is coming off of 28-14 defeat by Highlands at home. Ryle is rolling after a 44-0 defeat of Conner. The last 3 meetings in this series have been decided by homefield advantage, so will history repeat itself or can Cooper break the trend? Looks like another beautiful night for Friday night lights as current weather conditions show temps at 70 degrees and 0% chance of precipitation.

Not at the game, but per KHSAA scoreboard.

Ryle vs. Conner Predictions/Updates
Yeah, I'm not sure what the reasoning is behind it, but like you said I can also see the advantages behind it. Placing your Senior Night in the beginning of the year gets the normal festivities out of the way up front instead of when you're in the crunch time of the season. I guess I'm just used to having the "potential" last ever home game for the Seniors being Senior Night.

Ryle vs. Conner Predictions/Updates
Friday is also Senior Night for the Raiders, so one more reason it might be tough for Conner to walk out victorious.

Ryle vs. Conner Predictions/Updates
Conner travels to Union to take on the Raiders this Friday, 8/29 at 7pm. They are coming off of a tough loss to Madison Central 43-0, in Noel Rash's 1st game as the Cougar head coach. Turnovers and ball control seemed to be a big concern for them against the Indians, will they be able to correct that before they face a tough Raider's defense? Ryle took down Covington Catholic 26-20 at Wooten Field, in a game that Ryle controlled on the ground. Health and conditioning appear to be the biggest hurdle for the Raiders at the moment. Their 3 speared running attack could be a problem for the Cougars, opening up their passing game for Verax and Company. Looks to be a nice Friday night for football, with temps in the low 70s/high 60s and no rain come game start.

Ryle vs. Beechwood Predictions/Updates (Scrimmage)
#15 is Bo Gay, one of the top ranked DL in the Cincy area and KY for that matter. He's getting a lot of D1 looks right now. Maybe not SEC, but D1 nonetheless. And strength matters just as much as size, which he isn't really lacking in either. I haven't seen the scrimmage footage yet or the play being referenced, but I think in an actual game without the handcuffs on it could potentially be a different story. Edit: I just watched the play and he's definitely not making that sack. But he has a bright future

There is a roster that looks current on Hudl. There aren't any numbers with the names but it's more than there was a couple months ago.

Fundraising
I'm a little old school and feel that the physical discount cards are the best. As was stated earlier, people feel like they're getting extra value rather than just donating to the cause. It also gets the players out into and involved with the community. That additional face time goes a long way to bringing people into stadium on Friday nights as well.

Looks like the scrimmage will be live streamed. Access through Hudl provided by 859 Insider.

Ryle vs. Beechwood Predictions/Updates (Scrimmage)
Game time 6PM Beechwood comes to Union for the 1st scrimmage of the 2025 season. Both teams are coming off an impressive 2024 season, with Ryle falling to Trinity in the 6A Championship game and Beechwood beating Owensboro Catholic to win the 2A Championship. Ryle returns 16 of 22 starters on offense and defense, led by Indiana commit Jacob Savage at RB, Nathan Verax behind center, and Colgate commit Dylan Lee at WR. Ludlow transfer Dameyn Anness will help supplement Savage at RB as well. Their OL will again be a strength with Kyle Beatty and Eli Caldwell leading the way. On defense, Ryle will have Bo Gay and Aysaiah Riddick anchoring the line, with Savage and Kai Workman at LB and Anness back at S. Beechwood loses 2 star players to graduation in Clay Hayden and Chase Flaherty, but as always, they know how to reload with D1 prospect Emmit Queen getting the ball under center. Do everything athlete Tyler Fryman is picking up a lot of D1 offers and will be threat anywhere on the field he touches the ball. RB/LB Brody Aylor, RB/CB Nathan Pabst, WR/DB Caleb Arrasmith, QB/LB Bo Sowder, DT Austin Stephenson, OG Carson Eshelman, WR/DE Chase McDaniel, and TE/LB Aiden Dicke will all play an important role in helping Beechwood win #19. I know it's only a scrimmage, but I expect to see some top-notch football played anytime these teams take the field. Let's play some football!

7-On-7: 2025 Edition
With the rule change it's hard enough to talk to your own players. But with opposing players, I feel like the only thing a coach should say is "great game" and "good luck on your season." Unless you have a personal relationship with that kid and/or his parents, and even then, that can wait until you're off the field. You walk a fine line when communicating with players, and one misstep and they're talking about you in public forums.

2025 St. Henry Crusaders
As an impartial set of eyes, I've seen both in competition this year in 7 on 7 and the linemen challenges. Overall, I think HC would have the advantage in the skill positions and St. Henry in the trenches. As of right now, I think it would be a tight advantage to HC if they're healthy on the OL. But over the season I can see St. Henry having a higher ceiling. They're still a little rough around the edges in their offensive execution, but I think that will improve with more reps and competition.

2025 Ryle Raiders
Iron sharpens iron! Plus, Coach Engler was Coach Sphire's OC at Lex Cath for many years, so I'm sure it's easier to set it up. Not really any secrets amongst them, so it helps the players get some good reps and a plus RPI in the regular season. I would think that the more interesting part of that is that it's on a Tuesday.

2025 Bell County Bobcats
Gotcha, I was on the school side and thought it was Applegate. He was always a tough matchup.

2025 Bell County Bobcats
Not to hijack the Bell County thread, but didn't he knock out Gibson at Highlands the week before? I was at the game a week after Highlands knocked us out of the playoffs, and it was a run or pass to the bleacher side (it's tough to remember those details now lol) that cut back in and he just blew up the running back. One of the hardest hits I've seen in high school. Thought it was Applegate, but either way, dude was a thumper!
